I like local barrel picks. 90% of the time they offer samples and I don't buy unless I like it. I sampled 2 today and bought both but the 2 I pulled the trigger on (without sampling) I had heard good recommendations from trusted You Tuber's.

I found a peated, copper pot stilled Irish whiskey once that was amazing.... outside of that I'm a Laphroig boyAhhhh you're one of those guys!
I was going to ask about Laphroaig. It is super peaty. I just can't like the flavor.
Grew up with it as my Dad always had a bottle stashed for special occasions...
But I also drink Guiness and VERY hoppy IPAs

My blender is about 40 years old and sucks... but I also use it almost never.
Here's what we sampled at whisky club last night. The club bought 2 bottles and the rest were from members to share. Not a bad Glenmo in the bunch. That's Big Travis smiling. He hosted the tasting. Nice guy. He's a Mopar guy too.
Been into Summer mode here.
Looks good. I just made a margarita. Been out at the track most of the afternoon getting ready for our race and car show tomorrow.
