I am enjoying a little sip of this. It is a barrel pick and named Blackberry Cobler. Oh my is it good. It gas the feint blackberry flavor on the nose and palate as well as the grain flavors and a nice toasted oak. Dave who did the pick is really good at what he does. He picked out the finishing staves and the amounts of each.

WHiskey tasting group tonight. We will be sampling 3 Speyside non peated Scotches from the GlenAllachie Distillery. It should be fun.

Pretty excited about this one. It's a 8 Whiskey blend (Canadian) Aged 19 years (minimum) but it has some 26, 23, 22, and 19 year old whiskey and rye in the blend. Some were finished in Ruby Port, some in American Oak and one in Bourbon barrels. It should be creamy and complex but the color is pretty light for the age and proof. I'll let you know how it is probably later today.
