Came together nicely.That looks tasty.
Nice!Sipping entry level Weller at the moment. It's pretty good.
I have a couple WT's. Good juice.Something new to cabinet.
Nice flavors... The smell over a large cube is nice. Butterscotch is what comes out first for me.
Sipping along with a Punch Classico. Nice evening

Don't know anything about it, as I'm more of a single malt drinker (Macallan 12 year being one of my favorites), so I'm at a loss as to how to drink this. Straight, or on the rocks? And is this a "sipping whiskey" (I've never understood that phrase)?
Going over to share NYE with some friends of ours, and most likely I'll wait to open this until then.
You hit the nail on the head. Drink it how you enjoy it the most. I drink almost everything neat but that might not be your preference. Elijah Craig is a nice sipper and at 94 proof it shouldn't be too bold. Try it neat, let it open up in a glass for 10 min. or so and nose it as you go. It may change as it opens. You may get vanilla and caramel along with some toasted oak notes. When drinking it neat, if it's too hot or bold, try a drop or two if water and see how it changes. Put it on ice if you wish, mix it into a cocktail, or just a simple Whiskey 7. Your bottle, your choice. Cheers! I just looked at my spreadsheet, I have 26 different EC bottles. I guess I'm a fan.@toolmanmike will square you away.
Mixing versus sipping... Some whiskeys need to be hidden a bit.... Good ones are best just as they are. "Sipped"
Personal preference just like your single malts
"Neat" (by itself) or with a water on the side
I generally go ice cube, but I use the very big cubes so the melt isn't as fast. Some people like to let the glass sweat a bit after the ice is added
Simple cocktail like an Old Fashioned is easy

Thanks, Mike. My wife has already agreed to doing the driving duties on NYE, so I'll take all of these suggestions to heart. You hit the nail on the head. Drink it how you enjoy it the most.
