The 70 Duster......

-
Yes the hood (exterior) is black along with the tops of the fenders. Basically painted in 71 V24 blackout style!

Also the took the trim and bumpers to Classic Stainless Shop to be restored. Not sure when they will be done since they work with someone else on the plating (bumpers) part.

very cool. Even though my car will be black, I plan to do the same pattern as the "71 blackout style" in satin clear as well as the bumper and front spoiler and the rest will be polished out. The point would be to have nothing shiny in someones rear view mirror as I approach.
Again yours looks very cool.
Andrew

Guess I will have to upload the rest later if I can get some time to get on the computer. My phone will only let me post one pic per post.

Looks like it is coming along good. Hopefully it will be done by Chrysler's in the Canyon and you can actually make it up here to drive it.

Since it is the "wife's car" I doubt I will get to drive it much! Not going to show her any pics of it until we make the next trip up there. So she can see the car with her own eyes! Last time she saw it in person, it was in primer still. She is still a little upset I ordered the AC for it! She just knew it would ensure that it was "her car" if it did not have AC...lol.

By the way, if you talk to Larry before I see him. Ask him if he would like me to bring over the orange car when we come get the Charger and Dart....lol :) I can always dream!

At that rate he should for sure be done by CIC5 on October 12th. Now if you can just get the wife to take off and come with you.

It is coming right along! Took the restored window trim to Larry over the weekend and got to see the car in person again. We went over the car and made a list of parts needed to finish the car.

Back glass, motor and trans are in.

Still trying to talk Larry into redoing the orange car......

Sent off to Booster Dewey for rebuild and plating....
Power brake booster

Charger was picked up from Larry today! So my next trip up we will be able to take the Dart and Charger out for a nice drive!! Starting gathering cars (and parts) again in about 2004 with the idea that we would have a car for us (my wife and I) and one for my parents to drive when we wanted to go out to the car events or just a fun evening dinner. It took almost 10 years longer than I thought it would, but we can finally do that now!!!!!

Dyno Day at Boost Performance on September 7th and Chryslers in the Canyon on October 12th. Maybe you can make them this year.

Looks like I will miss the dyno day. If we stay here we are planning to go to the Mecum Auction. However the wife may be working in Aransas Pass that weekend. Still waiting to hear back on that.

Chryslers in the Canyon looks to be for sure though!! Just a matter if we have 2, 3 or possibly 4 cars for that.....!

Thanks to jdr2483 for some current pics! Looks like Larry is moving right along!

Front suspension....

EDIT: It has been brought to my attention that the rear rotors are installed reverse direction from the front (fronts are installed in "preferred direction"). Also the rear calipers are upside down as the bleeders need to be at the top. And lastly, the front knuckles need to be swapped side to side.
