Turning back the clock

I'm surprised to see carpet in there, I thought they tried everything to make the car lighter. Just surprised is all I know carpet might not weigh that much. :)

This carpet is lightweight....I guess Butch liked it nice. The non-factory carpet installed when the car was built still resides aft of the roll bar. The front pieces were duplicated from the remains. Same stuff, just 40-plus years newer!

Carpet was "optional" in M/P (1975).... carpet also hides "creative engineering"....just sayin'

Looking good Denny !!!, also looking forward to seeing you and the gang on Sunday.

Mogadore bound tomorrow....looking forward to getting caught up too. Hope the (actual) snowflakes stay away.

Check you Denny out. Chill as can be. Looks like you own the place brother!. Too cool! And the project is amazing!

Be well man,
Pat

I'm too stupid to get nervous. I love talking Mopars and about Butch and his California Flash Hemi Duster. This week I was suppose to be finishing up tax info....but instead spent all my time fiddling with the Flash's twin plug ignition wiring....which BTW, is a lot more fun.

How is your crew doing?

Denny

Agreed on Denny, good to know we have a legit rock star in the family! Car is amazing simply amazing. Sincere thanks for all you guys do to promote our sport and your builds are truly a reflection of your passion. Cars like that don't just magically turn out.

Ha, working on the car is much more important than tax preparation lol!

The crew's doing well, thanks for asking. Those two little girls that drooled over your Duster when we met are now 18 and starting college come spring. Crazy right!?

Be well,
Pat

I use Dewey, Cheetem and Howe.....P's are high, but L's are higher :)

Hey Pat, great to hear all is well, amazing how quick time flies when you are havin' fun. Maybe we will see you guys if we get the Flash back to the Chicago area.

Rest assured Denny, you get that girl this way and we'll be there!

Take care,
Pat

IMO....this 1975 race car represents what "Pro Stock" should have been left as in 1973 and still be....a "professional" version of (sportsman) Modified Production". Factory unaltered sheet metal (except expanded wheel / tire openings) with strict limits on needed modifications to install the race cars manufacturer naturally aspirated motors and manual transmission (no Lencos). Lbs per cubic inch...all the same.

JMHO....yours may very.

Agreed! It is called pro-STOCK after all.

Here's the big question. Does Butch get to blast it down the track?

anybody can, even you...after a check with lots of zeros clears my bank.

oil pan comes Monday
all wired, lights, ignition, fuel pumps tested and working
bumped it over...so the starter is good to go.
fuel line is done
brakes are bled...wow, what a peddle
wheelie bar components and ladder bars are being cad plated
replica overflow canister headed to powder coat

needs coolant but running out of "to dos"...other than FIRE IT UP!!
