That's great news Francois!
:thankyou: JD

Just arrived at home.
The car (and the transmission) work perfectly.
The Inland shifter isn't so bad... Maybe that this transmission didn't work a lot during its history and the shifter mechanism isn't too much loose (I've known worst with some european cars :D).
As the 833 comes from a '66 Barracuda 225cid, the 4 gears ratios are well adapted for my /6 and the car is a little bit more nervous :)

New swaybar bushings too :

Great! I'm glad it worked out well and that you are happy with it. That shifter will be just fine for your car, and the way you will probably drive it. If you had a high horse power 340 Demon and hot rodded it around a lot, then sure, a Hurst shifter would be better suited. But for a nice driver that you don't jerk around and bang gears like Ronnie Sox, that Inland will be just fine. It only needs to make you happy....and it appears that it does.

Exactly...

I tested my under dash reverse light with a LED in.

I also found the "Z" terminal in the bulkhead connector. It's the terminal dedied to the reverse gear lamps.

Tomorrow, I will drill the hole under the dashbord to install the light

Hi I've got a new under dash wiring harness, I don't believe it has provided for the factory reverse indicator light of which I've misplaced. Do you recall where/ how your indicator light got power? My new reverse indicator light has a black wire with no terminal.
Thanks

As told above, it's quite simple.
Just connect the black wire to the "Z" terminal in the bulkhead connector
The bulb is grounded by the mounting on the metallic dash frame.

My "Hurst-look-like" ball mounted on the Inland shifter

Thank you! I found on my 68 Barracuda hot out to tranny switch is white at interior bulkhead connector, hot back in to reverse lights and reverse indicator is purple so I dug out my old harness and voilà! There's the loop I need

@French demon Francois, that new shifter ball looks great!

Yes, I love the white Hurst ball, but the Hurst shifters are very pricey :(

In 66-68, The Inland company made shifters with white balls for other cars than Mopar.
I found a white ball initially made for GM cars, but having the good 9/16-18 threading for the Inland shifter, and also the "well" to accomodate the sliding T-lever.
It fits perfectly :)
