I see it both ways. Nobody is purr-fect but after announcing he was back, weekend trip over, seller should have taken prompt action whichever way he saw fit.

These are the generation of Slant 6 225 engines and valve covers I am familiar with.

Had the 225 with the factory 2 barrel in my '78 D100 Short Box Truck, for the many many years that I owned it.

Had the 225 Slant 6, one barrel that originally came with the '76 D100.

But, but, but....is that the solid lifter valve cover, the hydraulic lifter valve cover, the solid roller valve cover, the hydraulic roller valve cover, or the Now who valve cover is the blackest valve cover? LOL......guess people can argue about it for 47 more pages!

This post has opened my eyes to just how beautiful the slant sick engines are. I’m thinking of buying one and putting a chrome valve cover on it and mounting a 1/2 inch thick piece of lexan to it and making a coffee table out of it. Beautiful
 
Aplogies here, but which post explains why this won't fit an early engine? Height? Bolt pattern?

sorry sorry sorry.... just a guy here. Call me slow.... Ill get there eventually. I just got so caught up in the furry little guys

Dodge trucks are so beautiful.

I'm researching the one I recently acquired.

74 d100 custom with tool boxes. Belonged to the city in its past life. I don't know if the tool boxes are factory or not, they are mounted with the same holes and hardware that the factory step side fenders would have been mounted with.
