USAF June 1966 to April 1970. Offered an early out by Nixon and hit the road! Spent all 4 years working in the same room. Ended up as the supervisor SSGT 437th CEMS RACC at Charleston AFB, SC. Had a great time drunk or drag racing every weekend. Big Big group of car guys, really strong in 68 & 69, locals and military. In those years I owned (among others) 59 Impala convert, 59 Plymouth Fury, 58 Pontiac Chieftan, 65 Ford Falcon Sprint convert, 62 Dodge Dart maxie, 69 Dodge Charger SE, and throw in a few bikes like a Honda, Trumpet and a Beezer and you can see that my military experience was uncommon. Luck of the draw I guess, I signed up and stood in line like everybody else. The sun was just shining on my butt in those days.
