Wanting a 18x9f 18x10r wheel setup am I crazy?

No rubbing anywhere! It is reallll close at full left lock on the little bellcrank bracket on the outside of the frame rail though might have to trim that a bit. The rear tires are Toyo RA1s and man are they sticky. Went with Nitto 555s for fronts. The 275s on the front increased steering effort abunch and are a little rut grabby but that is to be expected. I need bolstered front seats in a huge way now.

72,
was there any problem with mounting the 335s on the 10" rims?
I have been entertaining doing the same thing but thought the fit might be a problem.
Andrew

Not for me I did it myself with some help and lots of lube lol! Some tire shops will give people hell for stuff like that but unless you can do it yourself you're kinda at their mercy. Just tell them its a show car only. These rear tires call for an 11.5 wide wheel minimum for good reason, on the 10s its a ***** to mount up and I'm giving up a couple inches of contact patch as well. But I call bullshit to anyone that says its for safety reasons.

thanks for the info,
I currently have 315s on 17x10.5 in the rear, so effectively I would end up with a narrower tire to the pavement than I have now.

That looks awesome! Can you post pics of lock to lock on the front wheels/tires please?

I will when I get the carpet and seats back in,im in the process of getting the inside deadened, new carpet and presentable.

Looks good where did you buy the wheels?

I bought them on ebay for $90 each shipped! Problem is he is out of 18x9s last I talked to him.

Here is full lock with the tightest scenario I could get it, plenty of room!

Motivated! I can't wait to stuff my 20's in my wheel wells! 22's would really be sweet! I just love that classic car big tucked rim look.

Heres my most recent pic. Ive raised the rear a 1/2" and lowered the front a 1/2" since. And the 10s are now 12s in the rear...:burnout:

Nice job Emil! :D Your specs are exactly in line with my findings. Since I don't have a mini tub I'm 18 x 9 all around. Backspacing up front comes in at 6.4". As long as you use the narrow Hotchkiss front sway bar or the pro touring specific Hellwig bar, there are no rub issues. The rears are 6.0 BS and fit with the .75" spring relo kit and a factory 71 A body 8.75 axle. What are your height numbers to your front and rear fender lips through the centerline of the wheels?

Very cool. I wonder if I could fit a 275/40/17 in the front of my 68 fastback on a 17x9 inch wheel? I have the 73 up disc brake. Currently using a 17x8 with 5.72 backspace and a 3/8" spacer with 245/45/17's....

Thanks Peter, I like how yours is setup too and I bet it really sticks! My front is 25.5" to front fender lip, rear I havent measured but its pretty low with a full tank, I would imagine pretty close to where yours is.

The problem you may encounter is upper ball joint/tierod contact with 17s. AutoXcuda Steve would be the guy to ask about 17s on a B-cuda since they do have different wheel openings than the Darts/Demons do. I just went for it after a couple of pulls of the tape and got lucky that it worked out.
