What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Well I pulled an old 8-3/4 center chunk out from under my bench and got it completely torn down.
Was a 2.76 open diff, but it's going back together with 3.55's and a suregrip.
Probably going to order up my parts from Dr.Diff. I've heard nothing but good stuff about him, and looks like he has what I need.

When its all done it will be replacing the 3.23 open that's currently in my Dart.

Tire shopping .
Have both sets of rear drag radials de mounted, gotta find the biggest / stickiest I can get in there----------need a mini tub bad .

Installed headlight wiring kit from my buddy Rob (Crackedback). Very nice kit. Also installed his heavy duty battery cables and alternator bulkhead bypass wire. Re-taped most of it to appear stock

Legendary Battery topper, AMD battery hold down minorly tweaked with the original j-bolts. The ones supplied are too short.

Had to order a 17” diameter fan because of the /6 A/C radiator

Air cleaner hose kit and decal done.

Radiator overflow hose done.

Passenger side brakes are done

Waiting on new P-S-T 1.03” torsion bars (6-10 days) and bilstein shocks. Couldn’t help it. Had to accommodated the new springs with better shocks.

Moving right along.

You’re going to love the headlight relay and wiring upgrade. I just did it a few months ago and my lights are fantastic now.
The 1.03 bars are nice too, I’ve done them but not the shocks yet.

Well thank goodness I did some final test fitting before I tried to shoehorn this engine in my Duster. I fit up the ATI powerglide bellhousing, flywheel, got the starter shimmering close, and found out my new headers hit the starter. I was able to mark it and use my press and a rounded slug to peen my headers and used my die grinder to remove a little metal from my starter

Blackout work on the front looks nice and not overdone! Good Job!

Tried to imagine if I was on the line doing a quick spray from below the car. The original paint was very lightly done. Borderline opaque the paint was so thin. It’s more of a dry spray look imo.

Looking at her in the garage waiting to not be working so I can drive her! Been working 8 days a week lately.....ugh.

Why didn't you paint the lower core support ?

I used this as it lays very flat and thin.

No two cars were alike as they came off the line. So there is no real template, maybe a guideline!

Yesterday the freeze plug under the #3, #5 spark plugs broke loose and peed water all over the driveway at work, so I JB-Welded up the hole to get me by until I get my taxes back and my new 360 built.

So redneck!

Hey FABO!!!! At the moment, a new steering wheel is not in the budget. I like the stock wheel, but my horn cap was broken off of the metal backing plate. All I could find, were new ones on Ebay, starting at $99....So I drilled the holes out on my old cap, and tapped the existing holes on the backing plate with a 10-32 tap. Home Depot had the S.S. buttonhead screws and the horn cap is back on.

Nice day here in North Georgia. First weekend in many with no rain and temps near 70. Cruise time was great and a fresh tank of REC 90. Hanging with my dachshund buddy enjoying a cold beer outside the garage now.

Only bad thing is after a spirited winter drive is these damn Southern Sweet Gum Tree balls love to imbed themselves in your sticky tires! Guess next drive starts with a good rubber burn! Not big on that per say just want solid traction for acceleration!

It was warm enough to go out to the garage and stare at it, no space to move, waiting for spring cleaning.

Not an A-body but, pulled the /6 to make room for the 440. Going in the 64 in my Avatar.

Here's a quick shot of the trans bolt access panel.
Still gotta pull the gas pedal for the last 2 nutcerts, do a finish on the steel and swap out the hex heads for button head Allens.

It's not perfect but it's not terrible.
2 hammers, 1 crescent wrench, and a DeWalt impact. Looks like you fine tune things about the same as I do!
