So damned hot out in the shop I was forced inside to the computer/scanner. Scanning in a bunch of old photos I took while disassembling and cleaning parts...many moons ago!! It was so long ago, we didn't have digital photos and certainly not cell phones. I have several albums full of 35 mm prints that I took during disassembly.

I'm in no rush. One job at a time. My standards are pretty high. Trust me you will see the entire car when it's done.

I let the car rest today, it carried me to Carlisle and back, 2,730 miles without any issues.

The car even got love from B and E body guys at one restaurant, they couldn't get enough of it! The whole trip was awesome, and a much needed break from my life as of late. I can't wait til next year's show.

Well I should have been under the hood figuring out my push rods but my daughter came out and asked if we could trim out the trunk. So we started doing that instead! Got the side panel templates done and traced on to hard board

Worked on re-routing the heater hoses today. You’ll see in the pics just how lucky I got with the fitment of the adapter.

Started a few projects. ..the biggest being an electric fan swap.
I was running a 2 fan system that I felt wasn't moving enough air...so I am swapping it out for a single Taurus fan.

Not to mention I need to clean up my wiring. ...that is an AWESOME controller from Autocoolguy (Google it...) ...it "soft starts" the fan instead of nailing them full blast right off the start...

Anyway, I had to trim some plastic and make some simple brackets. ..

And as I figured, I'll have to trim more plastic to move the fan closer to the radiator to clear the water pump nose....

No big deal but it's well on the way to 100 degrees so I'll get back after it later...

Nice work! The new fan looks like it should move some air!!!

The dog days of summer are here, for sure.

Thanks guys!
Other stuff on my list are:
  • Oil change
  • Install torque converter cover
  • Some minor tweeking on my remote door locks
  • Detail/clean engine and compartment

Then drive the heck out of it!

Jeff

Floorpan under the driver seat is messed up. Gonna see what I can do to drill the ends of the cracks then hammer it into shape. Going to have to pick up a little flux (capacitor) core welder real soon to do the floorpans.

Before pics.

I am pretty sure I found the ends of the cracks. Can't be sure without magnafluxing it.

Not bad with a floorjack and a brick for the dolly and a clawhammer for my metalworking tools! Looking forward to finishing up the cabin sheetmetal and getting some Dynamat in here.
