Test fit number one so I can plumb the throttle linkage and wiring. When that's done the engine comes out again and the engine assembly and engine compartment get prepped for paint

Installed front driver's seat ,so i can load it up to get dual exhaust installed, wiped it off cleaned the windows. First time it's been able to move for approximately three years, once it has exhaust I can work any bugs out. Finally going to have a driver!

Ran it out of gas! But now I have a two gallon gas can in the trunk, and the funnel and hose I had made it easy to dump in the tank.
Plus I found out the sending unit pickup won't hang down to the bottom of the tank.

well, talked to my buddy last nite, and the other bleeder came out no problem

@George Jets
i would be cautious using that particular style of air cleaner
ive heard reports of the engine backfiring, and the foam element in those catching fire
Besides the fact that they actually don't do much filtering.

After hand polishing the whole finish with rubbing compound and distilled water.

Did the tire back treatment to all the tires, really helps to repeal dust from sticking to the sidewalls. Product is called Sun Block for Tires, leaves a nice rubber looking finsh too not too shinny.

318 Performance stickers just showed up.

Just in time for the Cruise In Show tonight.
Had to get them on . . .

I've been riding around with 3" rear wheel studs ever since I bought the 8.75 about 7 years ago. The guy I bought it from said he had planned to race it and racetrack tech requires long studs. From what I've read, the stud must stick out at least as much as the width of the nut.

Anyhow, I finally took the time to cut them off, leaving them a bit long in case I ever make it to the track. No fancy air tools for me, just a sawsall and a file :)

And then browsing Amazon for a cat foot removal tool.

been chasing a very small fuel leak on my sending unit

i had replaced it with a 3/8 unit and installed a 5/15 return in it

it been having a slow drip every since
i think ive finally figured it out, i think fuel is creeping out from between the thread of the bulkhead and the nut

so once the fuel level drops enough, im gonna disassemble it, slather it in permatax #4 and try again

Nice having the daily driver all finalized, and being able to use it for running errands an knocking around.

Now I can get back to enjoying what everyone else is putting together and working on.

Thanks for following along . . .
