What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

It's just pressed on. Takes a bit of pull. Careful not to put any pressure on the plastic cover. They generally break at just under pressure required to pop the piece off.
Thanks. I'll let you know how it goes today.

I didn't do anything with the Dart itself, but finally started putting my 4-post lift together now that the concrete floor is finished. I've done all I can without help (or at least hydraulics). Got the four columns and the two moving crossbars/locks up. But the decks feel like they weigh around 300 lbs, and the one with the huge hydraulic cylinder mounted underneath is probably closer to 400. I can't even lift one end to carry it...

I'll get a friend to come over and the two of us can easily maneuver it with a cherry picker on the smooth level floor... and if not, his backhoe bucket can do a lot of lifting. That's how we got the whole 1500 lb crate in the barn to start with!

Finished off welding the throttle/ kickdown bracket and test fitted again. I'm a better grinder than welder.

Pulled the 64 D100 440 out of the garage to clean up some junk. Noticed the throttle not opening all the way. The accelerator pedal seems low. Fixed it and now no start. Found some dummy knocked a wire off the ballast resistor. Can't get good help these days

Now if you had Coil Packs like the Chevy guys do you wouldn't have this problem. Just Sayin. :poke:

I drug home a unicorn.

A 1966 Canadian Dodge Monaco 383, and most importantly, a four speed car. Never thought I'd get a four speed '66 Dodge in the full size flavor. Allegedly 700 some made for the us, and from what I've been told, this is one of 38 for the Canadian market. I'll take that.

Unfortunately, two hours later this happened.

I turned on what I thought was a solid green arrow, following the car in front of me, and a kid hit the car with a square nose Chevy K10. During inspecting the driver's side panel, I decide it is soft and may need to be replaced be as well. I've sourced panels for both sides previously, looks like I'll be buying them. So this is the new stablemate for the Dart, which I swear I'm going to work on.

You can still like the car. :poke:

And don't worry, I've got three different leads on the quarter panel, one of them being a whole car right close to where I got this one. :BangHead:

Finished MAD wiring, replaced the hurst T-handle with a regular ball, and installed a wideband. Did not know how fat my car ran at idle until installing the wideband. I guess I need to do some adjustments...

Busy day today.
Got tires mounted on new wheels.
Couldn't believe the lack of choice even with 15" wheels!
I bought 235/60/15 and they fit, but I could have used more backspace!

I will never again buy wheels that use this washer and lug system, what a PITA to get them installed!

I'm getting closer to have this Barracuda on the road by summer.

haven't seen one in 47 years when my 2 year old asked what it was a couple days ago... weird!

as far as the car, I'm waiting on some fuel line fittings. I acquired a stumble when I punch it. Think the 50psi section of fuel line just ahead of the pump is sucking shut at WOT. The fuel pressure gauge drops to 3psi when i open the throttle at idle.
