Yeah, I had to wait until the intake was gone. Duh !Back to that kitchen table again!!
I will keep it as close as Factory Original as possible. I use a brush. Maybe 6 bristles on it. A steady hand and a lot of Coffee. Got my supplies tonight. I'll use the smallest brush.I need to repaint my whole grill!
I am glad that my wife let me use our new den as a man cave! Now what paint are you using for the black brush on? Also are you going to clear coat the whole grill or just leave it painted?
Those two don't typically go hand-in-hand. If I tried that it'd look like a Picasso.

Are you using Testor modeling paint?
Reminds me of when I set about refurbishing the IP gauges on the Coronet several years ago. Lots of trips to the hobby store. The other must-have tool was a pedestal mounted, goose neck magnifying glass with 360° lighting.Yes.
Do I see two cylinder heads on that kitchen table in the background? Lol^^^^^
Painting? No little brush here. The 340 just used good ole Mopar rattle cans to get its color today. Let it dry then pull the tape off.

So no taping, just a steady hand? Looks real good. The brush I use to paint the Grille slates. Making progress tonight.

That looks nice! But mine isn't a hotrod. This 71 is more of a restoration car. The avatar car (72) is the toy to have fun with! You painted the freeze plugs? I went a different direction. Never Dull and a drill motor method.
