yea - oldschool - likin' dem sneakers!!! can we see what it all looks like sitting on the ground!!? I feel like you've cheated us somehow - only 1/2 the story..

oh yes - very sweet! lets see more!
Sorry Mike , Don't have any good pictures yet of it with the new sneakers . Just one's from last year with the lil N 50's on the rear . I have been toying with the idea of fabbing up some headlight covers for it as well .

Were pulling the motor today so we can replace that bad rear main seal!
Then it's time to adjust the lifters and fine tune the carb.

The weather broke and its vert time!

Which pin? The two pivot pins had the push washers on them. The spring pin/arm was bent so I straightened that out and put a push washer on there also to help keep the spring in place.

Yeah, that's what I was asking about. I didn't see it in the pic, should be one of those push caps on there to keep the curved end of that spring from popping off.

I got so PO'ed at mine, I threw a tack weld on it. :D

I have yet to see a hinge, that actually has that on it.. I like the tack weld idea. Or at least a large puddle weld to keep it in place. That hinge is still in need of replacing, I fixed it good enough for it to close, but it will fail again in time.

I installed the exhaust on Saturday - no X, no H - just straight dual exhaust.. headers to mufflers to resonators, under the rearend and out the back.. should be interesting. Yesterday I attempted to put the bypass hose on - well, the Edelbrock race water pump has the hole for the adapter, but it's NOT set up for the hose itself - NO clearance. So I spent quite a bit of time grinding out the area to try to make room... kind of scary grinding on a water pump with a dremel.. now the hose fits, but I still don't have room for a clamp!!!

Pulled the motor in the 66 convertible and sent it off to finish the trade for the red 66!! The yard looked a little empty, so I drug this home!!! Man, what a beast, this thing is like 2 A bodies rolled into one! Even my neighbor commented that it was out of my element!!!
