What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

-
Thanks. Kind of funny, but a buddy stopped over today and asked the same question. It looks like there is plenty of room for one in there. Possibly...way down the road though. Just trying to get it drivable for now.

Gotta respect the slants, plenty of torque, i have a 71 225 slant that came out if my demon just waiting to be thrown in a scamp or duster and turbo added lol

I think this is pretty cool too. From Torque Storm.

Just got back from a nice morning drive. ...
Backed her in the garage to begin my electric fan install!

Guess I won't be driving her for a week or so. ...she's cooling down right now while I nurse a couple more cups of coffee!

Was going to work on it last weekend but...

...and nearly that in humidity.

Yesterday was "only" 92 but radio said heat index was 101.

I wonder what the heat index was when it was actually 100 degrees?

I here you Fast340 been a body man all my life and not to long ago had to replace a frame on a new chevy duramax pick up and was not wanting to even start on it, but one step at a time and got it done and it is still on the road after a year. Don't give up you can do it just take your time and you will get it done.

Would love to get it done myself, but crap just keep stacking up against me,cant weld indoors in the garage and have to have the car outdoors when welding on it and its a quite steep slope up and down from the garage making the whole getting car in and out operation suck bigtime and we are heading fast towards rainseason also known as autumn over here so im kind of running out of options.
Was planing on using a couple weeks worth of vacation time this summer to get this done but that was not working out due to the warmest summer i can remember and no way to not risk setting the lawn on fire working outdoors in the heat, might also loose half the garagespace fairly soon, its kind of crapy situation, this thing has been of the road for 10 or so years now and i cant stand not getting her on the road again to the point of paying to get the worst sheetmetalwork done so i can get on to the mechanical side of things wish is doable in that tight garagespace even if its not perfect, and possibly get the thing approved for the road again next summer
To top everything of,me and my fantastic better half are looking at possibly try to find a house to live in,and on top of that im looking quite seriously at doing a carearchange that will net a bunch less money each month and im certainly not a rich man now.

You bet I can just let me know when you come to visit and I will have plenty of what you drink in the fridge and I will still enjoy a beer with you.

You know i might just remember that if i ever end up visiting your great nation on the other side of the atlantic :)

That looks good!

Driving the piss out of it as always... Daily Driver since 1977… No Lie

That is a fine daily driver!

New Right Stuff rear Discs and Mopar Sub Frame connectors are now in. I feel much more confident driving this car now. The car itself is much more sure and predictable especially the handling!

I can handle the cold to about 5 below because the harder I work the warmer I get. But can't handle the heat.

Damn Bob...I've known you since the early 80s....you've always had that truck and that 70 Challenger. ...

Jeff
Well the only bad part of what you mentioned is the Challenger has been gone for awhile now.... Sold and Shipped to Japan. I got crazy money for it back in 1995 when I sold it. But I had so much fun with that car when I had it. Big Blocks, NOS, B1 500" motor, and then back to street trim and off to another country. Man If I could have a conversation with that car... Good SO-CAL times... Sure miss them days..:) :) :)

Today I installed door glass in my Coronet and played Darts.....errr Dart. I yanked a 7 1/4 one legger and installed an 8 1/4 sure grip. It is only 2:71 gear, but I have a 3:55 for it. That gave me BBP on the back and when I install the sway bar K-member, it will get BBP up front. Then the Keystones will be all the way around. Next up for it is some floor repairs.

After 15 years of sitting it's back on the road today and My 84 year old father in law is so happy He is flying 1500 miles to take it down the road one last time.
Not restored yet but runs great and still leaks but runs and drives real good.
Was worth putting my car off to the side to make a great father in law happy.

First thing in the morning I'm gonna start sandblasting my control arms prep for paint and new bushings hopefully get the front suspension done by September.

Ok got some work done on my lcas I got the pins out and the old bushings out I done the welding trick but instead of a washer I used a nut and bolt works really good this is the 2nd set iv done like that works flawlessly. I got one of the lca striped blasted and cleaned up I didn't get the other one I will get it tomorrow.

to Punta Gorda to the monthly swap meet/ flea market to part with my garage treasures. First time at the new building .Muscle Car City is what the owner calls the place. He has his private car collection inside along with mancave stuff and soon to be a diner also. Some guy parked next to me with a dakota for sale I thought someone here might have some interest in, so here is a few pics. Not mine, just call his #. It has a 2.5 4 banger in it.

Breaking down suspension. Previous owner must have had front end rebuilt. Everything coming off really really easy.

Radiator and tranny crossmember painted.

Looks like replacement bushing. Cam bolts came out like butter. Retaing spring missing on one torsion bar. Scary.

Cool little trick with the screws going into the brake lines I cut. Doing disc swap.

Everything into the evaporust bucket.

Me and my dad put up some new lights in the garage, replaced the old t12 fixtures with new t5 fixtures. Way better than the t12s, much better light to do some wax on wax off lol
