Installed a Hellwig front sway bar on my 66 Barracuda. Pretty straight forward install. It tucks up nice and close. End links are angled a little more than I like, but is needed to clear the strut bars.

Went to a local car show and waited for my friend to show up in his Superbird.

66fyssh,

Can I ask where did you get those 14" trim rings? It looks like they have a squared off shoulder which looks exactly what's on my 15" X 7" rears (purchased from Ken (aka 72Dart6pack here on FABO)):

The only information I have on my 15" trim rings is this:

I pulled the trim rings off and can't find any markings whatsoever. Sorry man, I know I tried finding one several years ago to replace one that has some curb rash and couldn't find the squared off edges.

I took the 7.25 out of my 72 Demon and found this interesting shockmount mod/repair
This morning I took the 8.25 out of my 70 Duster.
I'm having an ongoing discussion with myself and a couple others regarding what to put where. The 8.25 might still be in play, but the 7.25 is definitely not

I got the engine painted and started bolting things together. I'm trying to devise a jig that will allow me to mount the engine right-side-up and leave the back end open to mount the flywheel, clutch and transmission. I want to hoist the whole assembly into the car as a unit. I have access to a really nice engine hoist and leveling device, and I believe I can come up with a trans jack. It's the engine that I don't know how to set up. :realcrazy:

Went to Mopar Madness ar Dragway 42 Friday and Saturday. Had to drive an hour back home Friday to attend a grad party and drove back Saturday trying to dodge the rain. Didn't work out too well as I hit a hellacious downpour about 20 mins away and had to pull off to zip up the rear window under a gas station canopy getting to the track about 1 pm. Pre-entered in car show but the weather pretty much killed it. I figured I was best in my class. Drag racers waited out the rain and first cars went down the track at 4 pm. I shouldn't say anything bad about the host Mopar club so I won't.

One of our club members is also an oil paint artist. He gifted me with this painting of the "Jaundiced GT" at the show

Applied a ceramic coating on my vinyl decals.

This was a bad idea. Please don’t apply ceramic on matte vinyl decals.
There was some kind of reaction from the chemical product.
Took over 2 hours of wet sanding and cut polish etc to try and fix. Turned out as good as it’s gonna get. Lesson learned

The pic isn't very clear. What is a decal and what is paint? My 71 Demon hood is black paint hence why I ask.

Doing bodywork after welding in 19 trim holes on one side of the car. The dirty, nasty part of hot rodding that most people never see or know about.
