with 122T flywheel.
Im going to be rebuilding mine and want to know the options
and pros /cons of diaphragm vs fingered. Not a hi performance application

I bought one on E bay and had issues so I bought the Scalloped 10" from Brewer, had it checked out at Clutchmasters before installing it (it was perfect) and it has been in for about 10 years. I don't abuse it but I do get after it.
 
Borg & Beck original will get a centerforce when swapped

thanks, but those are all 130 tooth flywheel,

Didn't look that far into the applications. I was surprised to see so many 9.5" clutches even if they are dual disc and cost $1000+.
Yes. There's probably no performance clutches for the small 122t. flywheel.
 
I use one from a slant 6 B-series van with added springs. Had a local clutch builder make it up for me.

The Clutch Masters shop here went out of business. That's too bad. He could beef up anything and it would work perfect. I think the B&B clutches sold have 9 springs with room for 12. The guy said he could add 3 more and match the ones in there or replace all 9 (or 12) with heavier ones for more clamping force. He could also reline the disc with semi metallic, ceramic or kevlar.

Yes, I believe so. I think I also had to use Allen head bolts because the clutch disc would hit the stock hex bolts. Seems like it actually measured 10 1/4" IIRC.

IMO.
9- 9.5 clutch disc is ok around town.
Any Real HP wont last at all.
I just finished my small block magnum swap with small clutch stuff because I had it
New in stock.

I just wanted to get it running on the road.
And not sure of a sale.
But I guarantee I drive it. Might get 50 miles....lol
 
I ran a Rayloc 5004HD from NAPA for many years and many miles. That was a 10" Borg & Beck style for direct replacement of the 9-1/2" Auburn clutch that came in the early 273 cars. It had an organic disc. When I put a 340 in one car and wanted to retain the 122 tooth flywheel I called American Powertrain and they put together a really nice 10" diaphragm style with organic/ ceramic disc to hold the additional power, which it did nicely. Unfortunately I didn't hang on to the paperwork that it came with so I can't provide the part numbers but if you call American Powertrain they can probably fix you up with something very similar.
