What's your favorite beer.

-
No offense, but I was given some Arrogant Bastard by my BIL to try. By far the WORST beer I have ever had.
None taken brother! I can drink anything, as long as it's not Mich Golden Draft, or Mich Ultra, the later tasted to me like vinegar, yuck!

I realize I drink toxic sludge, according to the majority of beer drinkers. That Hershey Chocolate Porter sounds like a good one, maybe not for session drinking, but a nice dessert style drink.

I'm talking about regular beer, no hard liquor.

What is your favorite??

All my joking aside, I'm not really a drinker. I think I last had a beer when I was grinding rust out of the floorpans in the Barracuda back in July or August.
I think it was from North Coast Brewery, Scrimshaw.

It used to be this! My favorite from the 80's to well, around 2005. It got hard to find after that.

The Stuff pictured, sent by a friend is not the same!

When I was a teenager in the 80's and first started drinking beer, Strohs was the go to beer. Not so much due to taste, but it was the first beer in NJ where I grew up to offer a 30 pack for the same price as a 24 pack of Budweiser. That was good enough reason in itself.

Yes! I remember that also. Cheaper was better than good back then. Lol

Turned 21 and my friends apartment had a wall of empties that they'd bring in all at once, for maybe two cases of beer, and start the whole process over again. We had some fun times in those days, building the wall.

I need to get started with a batch or two of oatmeal stout. It should be done around Thanksgiving and real tasty around Christmas time. Here's last year's batch. 2 gallons didn't last long enough. 4 gallons this year.

Molson Golden or in a pinch Molson blue.. Drank Genesse as a foolish kid, couldn't get drunk on it. Brother lived in PA. and would drink Rolling Rock. How the hell he could drink that cat piss was beyond me, but seems people down there like it.

Toss up.
Guinness Stouts.
45 years ago there used to be only one place in town to get it.
Ye Old Bottle Shop.
Had imported beers.
Now everything is in the grocery stores.

But ironically you can't get this anymore.
At least not here.
And there was a Carling brewery close to me as well.

Can I get a kiss now?

I never was much of a beer drinking even to this day. For some reason beer like Bud light, Miller etc makes me sick. I can usely only drink no more than 2 and I am ready to puke. Lol well any way back in the late 1990 I got sent to Germany for 3 weeks. It was for my Army Reserves training. Coolest thing at first was seeing soda machines like what we have here in the states, but there's were full of beer.lol well I went out to a bar and my friend bought me a German brand beer. I didn't not want to upset him and not drink it. Man I couldn't beleave how smooth it was. It sure didn't take like American beer. Lol also I did say I was a light weight when it came to drinking right? Lol I drank 3 of them and didn't get sick at all. Also didn't know that German beer was stronger than American beer. So I was buzzing pretty good. Lol sorry for the long winded post. This just brought back some good fun memories I had while I was over there. Here is a link to the beer I was talking about.

When my Dad turned me on to Strohs around 81 it was $6.75 a 15 pack. Think they were one of the first to go 15/30. He was drinking Red/White and blue at $3 a case. Strohs was much better!

My fish always had a older white and gold Strohs can as the catch for the radiator on drag day! Wish I would have taken a pic of it when I tore it down for re-build in 2012!

@mopar65 , went to Japan and saw the same vending machines full of Kirin and Sapporo beer in the middle of a street mall as well as Phillipines on base, a laundromat had an old machine full of nothing but 5P (25 cent) San Miguel bottles in all 6 chutes...(but Red Horse was my preference)...It was like they forgot about this one (1987) and the price had not changed in 10 years. And none of this export crap. They had a Domestic San Miguel Dark that was like freaking teriyaki sauce, kinda sweet but kinda salty with a hint of soy sauce? Man I could drink a pitcher and barely make it to the next bar. If I could find a bottle of this recipe here I'd gladly pay $10 for it. Same with Guiness..the stuff here is laughable, on tap or in those stupid cans. I had 2 pints in Hong Kong and I almost fell down when we left the table. Best thing about traveling is drinking the local brews. I like Newcastle but not into the craft brews here, too bitter.
