Little update I suppose. Been going through what I can. Pedal assemblies and starter shield are done. Disassembled the heater box. Gonna blast all the doors and small pieces and get everything coated and ready for reassembly.
Haven't posted in a while. Lots going on, switched jobs, traveled a bit, vacationed a bit and it was cold. But let's do a little update. I left off with the firewall insulation.
We'll pick up with the heater box going back together.
Next up fuel system: Tanks efi with walbro 255 and mopar sender, 58 psi LS regulator, 3/8 SS rigid line, -6 SS supply and return, used a bicycle tube on the tank straps to isolate, left over boom mat and foam insulation. New seals, gaskets and cap( which isn't that great)
Next up, the rear end:
As I showed earlier the center section is already painted iron gray. I installed a large 7290 yokeand pinion snubber.
Had Cass make me a shortened housing. 36.125 on center perches. 47.875 overall length. Axles to match with 3"-1/2" screw in studs.
Married the 2 and here's some pics.
Rear suspension:
415 circle track springs( not sure if these are going to work, may need 414), relocated springs into frame with UScartool kit. Hotchkis rear shackles, homemade delrin front and rear spring eye bushings and poly rear frame bushings. Hotchkis fox shocks, stock shock plates and ubolts.
Steering:
Proforged upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends and billet sleeves, Moog pitman and idler, firm feel idler roller bearing and steering sector support. Still need the borgeson box.
Forgot some insulation info and pics. For this I used CLD foil backed sound deadener, 1/8" Mass loaded vinyl, 3/4" Hydrophobic Melamine Foam, and 1/8" Neoprene/EPDM Closed Cell Foam.
Brakes:
Fronts; Dr Diff 13" brembo with drilled and slotted rotors.
Rears; Dr Diff 11.7" cobra with drilled and slotted rotors.
Braided lines F&R plus drop line.
Aluminum hubs and bearing kit.
EBC yellow stuff pads. (Not sure on this choice. Thought about the Red stuff but I want to do spirited canyon driving. So I went with yellow)
I think that brings everything up to date
I'm in the middle of brakes and suspension. Doing mock up. I've got rear tires enroute and using a buddy's front tire for measurements for wheels.
Tires will be Toyo r888r's
Fronts will be 275/35-18 (hopefully)
Rears 335/30-18 (also hopefully)
