World Series

Another good team win. Dodger starting pitching is surprising a lot of people and the bullpen has been clutch. They left a lot of runs out on the base paths, but were able to pull it out. Just one more!

Dodgers should've had five runs, maybe six or more. The home plate umpire called strike two on a 3-1 pitch to Will Smith with the bases loaded. It was clearly ball four. Smith grounded out on the next pitch to end the inning. The same pitcher started the next inning with a walk, but you can't count that. But it could have been a big inning.
Gavin Lux was probably safe at home. If the umpire had a different angle, maybe the call is safe. Like in game 1, the homeplate ump was terrible. He missed a dozen ball-strike calls, half of them badly. The Yankees don't need help! Or maybe they do?
Oh, and that 9th inning home run by Verdugo is a fly ball out in Dodger Stadium. :p

Why is it called the world series?
Because the best ballplayers in the world come to the U.S. and Canada to play baseball at the highest level. Even chicken Haji-WOG DPs living in a former penal colony are welcome, if they're good enough.

Why is it called the world series?
Had me curious so I looked it up.

It's been shortened from the original:

World's Championship Games.

The World Baseball Classic is most accurate. That's actually fun to watch

So is that like the soccer world cup that the WHOLE WORLD plays?

The countries have to make the field, but yeah pretty much. As you'd imagine, a lot of Latin-American countries are represented. It's a great tournament with a ton of pride on the line. This last one was awesome. I believe Japan beat US in the final with Ohtani striking out his Angels teammate Mike Trout to seal it. Pretty epic.

Yeah, that was a huge mistake to send him with two outs. I guess they felt like they needed a spark. Wrong move for sure.

It was a close play that took a great throw to get him. The scouting report should have indicated Teo has good assist numbers. But like mopowers said they needed a spark and were running out of time.

The World Baseball Classic??

Kinda like the Little League World Series. The regions have various qualifiers then teams from the America's Asia and Europe compete.

Pretty worldly

NOT very good at all. BUT he is all class and not a 1 dimensional goon that can't even run, OR the clown SOSO who has to do some goofy dance after every pitch at the plate. Couldn't track a bloop from Betts last night either.
Yankmees suck, but Judge is not the issue in my opinion.
Here's a graphic for you....

They've been putting up crooked numbers... Bullpen seems to give up that one pitch late that sinks them.

Yes, Yankees Suck

Of course, rumor mill is that Boston is sniffing around NY's batting coach

I'm a MN Twins fan. As I explained to my children. There are only 2 teams in MLB. The Twins! And the enemy.

Any questions?
