I've been told I collect intake manifolds.
I've never seen it as a collection but if I see something interesting or a bit different I will grab it.
Some of the interesting manifolds I have now are
Triple 2bbl carter pattern Offy fit RB
Wieand 3x2bbl superstock manifold fit RB
I have 2 genuine Aussie Hemi 6 R/T triple 2bbl weber manifolds. One with genuine carbs, the other is a NOS item.
Cain 4bbl fit slant 6
Lynx Slant6 triple sidedraught weber manifold with carbs.
The prototype Stage V inline 2x4bbl hemi manifold
Low rise Offy 8bbl suit RB
1971 date coded Chrysler/Edelbrock aluminium RB 6pack manifold with direct connection mechanical carb upgrade.
Sonoramic longhorn crossram manifolds suit RB
And there is other routine single 4bbl manifolds.

Some of the above are on cars and running.
Some are destined to go onto various of my cars.
Some I may or may not use some day.

In years past I have had an aweful lot of interesting 6 cyl manifolds pass through my hands which I regret letting go now.

So maybe it could be called a collection?

Don't really "collect" much these days.

My niece and nephew buy me assorted John Wayne items each Christmas. A lighter one year, a mug the next, a throw blanket the first year. All on display. And, of course, through the years I've accumulated a number of his movies on VHS, DVD, Blu-Ray.

If you look at our video shelves you'd think that the wife and I collect movies. My dad is building us a cabinet that's 68"x68" to hold 'em all.

If you look at our library you'd think we collect books. The wife and I are avid readers. Her, anything she can get her hands on. Me, primarily by author: Robert E. Howard especially. Anne McCaffrey, Chris Claremont, well-written sci-fi.

But I guess the true collection is 6500 comic books I accumulated through my formulative years. I don't buy 'em now. Back when I was reading 'em the stories were good, the art was good, and the average cover price was 60 cents. Now the stories suck, the art sucks, and they're $4 an issue.

I do not collect anything since losing my collection of vintage synthesizers and keyboards in a house fire in 2008. I have since acquired a couple keyboards but these are for personal use.I did play the old synths when I was in a band in Massachusetts. but they were packed away after moving to N.C. in 2007. But all was lost in 2008 when we lost everything in the house fire.

Rock Hound here! and old wind up clocks and watches but my biggest collection
has been collecting M&M's these days (Making Memories).

can this thread be realigned?

I collect Prowler stuff, have magazines from before production, diecast, posters, and the real thing.

Wife has coke collection and she did have frogs, now she is into oil cans, she has from small dropper oilers to 5 gallon containers, she really likes the glass with funnel tops

I collect belly button lint ....

sometimes i even collect hair from the the girl that sits in front of me on the short bus... then i make it into a hair doll.....

I collect unfinished projects. Some of them are hand made, meaning they weren't a project until I got a hold of them. :)

Every once in a while I ruin one of my unfinished projects by finishing it.
So I always keep a few extra on hand if this happens.

I have a stack of clocks that need repair, and a bunch of wrist watches mostly Bulova auto-winds from the 50's- 70's and a few accutrons.
A bunch of reloading presses and their accompanied equipment.
2 darts, and an extra drive-train that I have been working on since 1985. My wife still doesn't realize that this means that at some point I will need another car to put it in.

Wife says I collect stuff I don't need and will never use. I keep telling her when I croak she can sell my extensive coin collection. Anything 65 Dart seems to keep showing up. Can't forget my engine collection: 3 slants, a 273/235, a 318, a pair of 340s, and a 392 Hemi plus transmissions (2 LA 727s, a LA 904, 2 slant 904s and an 833) to go with most of them. And of course the stuff in my signature.

I actively collect gambling chips from illegal gambling joints from Northern Kentucky. There were quite a few of them and the gambling went on for nearly 100 years. Newport Ky was Las Vegas before Las Vegas was.
I also have a huge collection of comics that I've had since I was a kid. I don't collect those any more. just can't bring myself to get rid of them.

I have a few vintage coleman stoves... (1938 3 burner being the oldest), and some vintage stereo stuff. Also have quite a few project cars... my 69 Barracuda being the oldest. I can relate to collecting projects LOL... I also ruin one every now and then by finishing them... but no matter how many I finish, my collection keeps growing!

Well I used to collect comic books for several years back in high school. About a year or so ago my son and I started collecting hotwheels, but only muscle cars. the picture below is one of the boxes we have.:D

Currently I collect tools. Having not really owned anything prior to starting this car, as I need a tool ,I go buy it! lol

Mopars/parts and guns mostly, but I use it all so is that really collecting?

O I do collect bicentennial quarters for some reason, I have only ever spent 1 and that was by accident.

I have collected dealer items for 30 years. 1965 only and Dart stuff. This is how my show room looks.

My office in my shop where I keep all the books, dealer broshures etc looks like this. Yes, my wife is right, I am a collector!

Wow!!!.....you guys have some totally cool stuff!!! I'm almost foaming at the mouth here. As for me, I have a weird attraction to these old Craig Pioneer 8-track players, the 3108 and 3108A particularly. I had one of these back in the 70's in my car during high school and I just keep a watch out for them on Flea-bay. I bought these 2 separately and they're both NOS and were pretty cheap! (my wife just smiles a little and shakes her head when she saw them) I also have a "thing" for collecting Holley carbs, nothing too rare or special, but my favorite one is a spreadbore 800 double-pumper that was freshly rebuilt by Holley. It's a work of ART!!

Here's the 8-tracks....maybe I can get a pic of the 800 DP later.

Oh, here's a pair of NOS 46mm Weber 3C 3 barrel carbs to fit a Lambo, 911 or Corvair. Guess which one I own? :D I was like a kid on Xmas when these arrived!! Brand-new in the box, and these are pre-1970 ones, the real deal.
