My engine builder used the Hughes rockers to suit the relocated pushrods. Seemed to work ok .680 solid roller. So far so good

I agree with the super victor. 416, bigmouth heads, 268/274 SR made power at 6700rpm

Not sure of part number. They were bushed and .180 offset for inlet

We used the BAM lifters in mine, my engine builder was impressed with them

I ran a custom 750 holley on my 565hp 408 and it was perfect. I now have an 850QF on it making 600hp with bigger cam and better heads Made an extra 9hp with a 950QF but lost too much torque

How did you get yours down to 3100 lbs? Mine is 3570 lbs with me in the seat

Crossing the line at around 7000rpm. But with better heads and larger solid roller it will rpm a little higher I assume The bottom end is apart so I want to spend money now and make sure it's the best it can be. Don't want to pull the engine again

No there is no confusion. We were doing both. Moving the pushrods over was a decent gain but we are trying for as much possible.
