    Porting RHS/Indy heads

Thanks Gamedog, thats sound advice. Thats who I sourced them from. Brians a great guy and a busy guy. I figured I'd check the forums first. Easier to get a visual with pictures and such, rather than over the phone (might have to call and then correspond via email). Not sure if he frequents the...

    Porting RHS/Indy heads

At this point, I'm just doing some gasket matching, pushrod relief, valve boss blending. My question is, do I dare touch the short turn/bulge further past the pushrod tubes? I plan to do some bowl/seat work on the exhaust bowls, but the intake bowls look plenty good ootb. Any advise is...

    Broken L/R servo spring

I guess Im not even sure what controls line pressure. I've heard/read about the solid spacer deal. Although not sure what benefit it would have. I know when people bump the LP too much, they start cracking/calking piston. I'll have to look into it all again, its been a while. I plan to upgrade...

    Broken L/R servo spring

I would, but Im just gonna build the 46. I think if I lay of the loud peddle it should get me through the winter.

    Broken L/R servo spring

Im kinda curious as to what it does. I have the torqueflight book (with the A body Cuda launching) probably explains it in there. Been a while since I read through it. Its a TF-2, and came with a spacer. I just pulled a cushion spring from a 518 I have. Stiff lil spring that's for sure...

    Broken L/R servo spring

My front clutch is on borrowed time as it flares in 3rd. So to bandaid it I decided to throw in a transgo SK I had laying around. Upon removing the low/reverse piston, I discovered the cushion spring was broke. Any Idea what could cause this, or is it just common from fatigue. What might be some...

    Kickdown band lever ratios

I understand the higher the ratio, the tighter the band clamps the drum and quicker it shifts. But, why so many different ratios? Is a 5.0 too much for the street? How hard would it shift? Any other input is much welcomed. Thanks

    MSD E Curve Distributor

Got one, just haven't hooked it up yet. I thought when the base of the plug (what the grnd strap is welded to) is fully sooted its actually a lil too rich, but for a DD is good. Like I said, this set was idled/cruised/wot so its hard tellin. I was more worried about if the porcelain was showing...

    MSD E Curve Distributor

I don't see any obvious signs of pre-ignition/detonation. Not sure why #5 and #8 porcelains are so white. The base of the plug indicates their happy. These plugs aren't really a good indicator to fuel mix as they've been idled, cruised, and wot. I didn't get to look with a magnifying glass, but...

    MSD E Curve Distributor

Im no expert either, but I know what detonation sounds like. It didn't like 44, got slight ping @ WOT. I will agree that 42 IS a shipton. After driving around today, she was giving me fits starting. So I'll have to back it off some. Yep, powerbond, couldn't think of it. Idk if its the bees...

    MSD E Curve Distributor

Yeah its a great design, although Im a lil concerned about the board frying. Evidently people have found that enough carbon dust can short it out. Makes me want to lather it in silicon. One thing I did notice, is the chevy style hold downs for the cap don't seat the cap all that tight. I can...

    MSD E Curve Distributor

Hey guys, I just installed an E Curve dizzy. Those who don't know, its a digital diz with its own built in ign module. It allows the user a variety of custom tailored advance curves that you set by following a graph with corresponding letters and numbers that you then set with little dials under...

Got fuel, spark, comp but no start

Turned out to be my dizzy and potentially a bad coil as that too was leaking. Put in a MSD E Curve distributor and HV coil and she runs great :D. I've never been so happy. Thanks again everyone
