how strong is the 8 3/4 #741 case?

My 340 with 3:23 gears get close to that average, better if I keep my foot out of it, sometimes up to 19.

how strong is the 8 3/4 #741 case?

Nothing wrong with the stock 3:23 gears

how strong is the 8 3/4 #741 case?

    The Dodge Coronet 8 3/4 is only 1" longer than the A-body 8 3/4.

I need some fuel sending unit experts please

Did you follow the instructions when you converted to the IVR? The limiter was originally mechanically built into the fuel gauge. The reostat needs to be disabled [ie, bent out of the way of the circuit.

    71 Dart, Fuel/Temp Gauges

You mean "limiter". All the gauges run on 6volts from the limiter. Each gauge has a separate sender. If your fuel gauge works [somewhat] that sender [in tank] needs adjusting. The aftermarket temp senders are all bad. The ohmage is always too high, thus your gauge never receives much voltage...

    1965 Dart gauge problems!

Sounds like a bad sender. Your gauge is getting full 6 volts. It usually goes the other way, ie. never reaches temp on the gauge. Hope you didn't burn out your gauge.

    1965 Dart gauge problems!

Where did you find a NOS temp sender. I have tried over a dozen aftermarket of various brands. All read high ohmage when engine fully warm and gauge reads barely 1/4. Set up a fixture to substantiate.

64 cuda 273 temperature sender resistance?

Hs anyone found a temp sensor that reads correctly at 180 degrees? That sender should be around 25 ohms to get the gauge to read at half.
