been a while since I've been on, just thought I'd post a photo of my newest addition. believe it or not, one of those guys who drive around with a car trailer looking for cars to scrap out pulled up with this on back and said he couldn't bring himself to scrapping it. someone pointed my Dad out as his best bet for finding it a home. I didn't even haggle.
it's still registered to it's original owner, and that's the original paint.
273, auto, with power steering, and factory air.

That looks 10 times cleaner than mine, and they were going to scrap it? I guess that is why I get all those dirty looks driving mine around L.A. I even got a notice in the mail that the car was reported as a gross polluter by some random moron. I looked at the date, my heater core let go that day, it was just steam. Anyway good luck with your little red wagon.

Tim

Nice! What size tire /wheel did you fit under there?

The rears are 225/70-14's the fronts 215/70-14's.
The fronts were a tight squeeze, I had to slightly roll the front of the wheel openings so the tires would not hit while turning. The wheels are 7 or 8 inches wide.

just a little update on mine....

And, I also need to find some window gaskets, windsheild and 1/4 windows .

Does anyone make them ?

Also, does anyone make a conversion for the front , like Alterkation ?

I know CAP does but, I need something more of a street friendly app

Here is my dirty little guy , the bandit cars where his yard mates till I saved him

I think they found me. (the wagons) I must be looking at an old thread and somehow ended up on this one. Sorry man, still trying to learn my way around the site.
I'm in the process of redoing my 1963 waggy. It is some where on this site but I can't even find it at will. I have been talking to several rubber weatherstrip people and not getting very far. Has anyone had any luck finding molded weahtersprip rubber for the rear panel side glass? I know that extrusions exist out there but I can't see how I could achieve a good fit around the corners by cutting and glueing what is effectively a straight piece of rubber. I also will need the window runs upper and lower for the tail gate. Maybe all us wagon people can create some pressure and cause one of these mopar parts providers to produce some wagon stuff. Looking for any feed back. Thanks

Hey Commando, I think you may just have made my decade, not my day. I have looking for a source for these for many years. I even considered welding panels and doing away w/ side glass. The lack of these seals has kept me at bay from re-doing my waggy. It is some where on the site and when I can find it again I want to see if I can move it to the wagon-ho thread. Any ideas or should I repost it? Thanks again.

Thanks to all who have responded to the wagon panel windows, qtr glass, side rear glass seals. I have been all over the Aussie's sites. The price can sure vary but I guess the seals are not molded. We can get that extrusion here but as I look at my waggy, it does not seem like one could get a really good fit by gluing these together especially in the upper rear corner of these a bod wagons. Has anyone on this board ever actually used these seals from Australia and have any comments? I'm willing to pay the price if the things are the bomb.

I was scared to death to remove mine so I didn't, I worked around them and did the best I could....thats scary stuff and I have spare glass for mine.....Nice lil' ride ya got there and if ya do the deed to her i'm here if ya got questions.....unless it get's pregnant......then yur on yur own :happy7:

Dam thats a nice lookin wagon.Original paint?Post some pics of the interior!Lucky you!8-)

Wow, I have been gone a while and missed this... Pettyblu nailed it, if it has the dark metallic red interior, it is the same color combo as mine! I picked up a factory brochure for it at Carlisle a few years back, and that color is the main one in there. I wish mine was in half the shape that one is in! Congrats to you that is a sweet car...

Thanks!
it is the maroon, or darker red metallic inside. '65 wouldn't have been my first choice but this one is so nice who am I to complain? really I was looking for a Lancer or early Valiant wagon (if anyone has one...)
you can't see it in the photos but the paint is still shiny. I'm torn between putting 13" hubcaps on it or the rallies from my '64 GT. I could even go like I did with the '64 and put another set of formula S wheels and '66 Charger hubcaps. it would give the two of them a bit of family resemblance. I haven't had much chance to work on it but hopefully that will change soon.
I didn't want to take up too much of this thread so I started another thread for the wagon here:

again Thanks for the positive feedback,
Scott

I picked up a book at Barnes Noble on custom wagons. Several members here have their cars featured in the book

I had an idea. the rear board over the spare in my wagon is basically destroyed, and I work at a place with a waterjet. if I can get an accurate pattern I can make exact reproductions.
just a thought.

There are several places that do sell them and all are very good quality
Most of the companies that make and sell these have also used them themselves
The price does vary from state to state. I have no idea why. Queensland Valiant Spares are the cheapest of several But not sure on shipping
One other problem which we have over here is with our A Bodies from 63-65 what we call the AP5 and AP6, especially the wagons
We have to supply the Body/Chassi number and the reason for this is
There are 3 differences in the production of the Wagons alone over 3 years especially the rear cargo windows. Mine a 63 know as a Canadian build has larger side windows especially the top front area near the rear doors The top curve following the roof and the door frame down is slightly larger. So I'm not sure how you will get a correct fitting rubber

More info on the differences we have
