Maybe a chunk of grease or crud in the box that pulling on the wheel/shaft knocked loose/broke up?

I remember having a mid-70's Dodge van with a 6. Had a 20 mile drive to work in these lovely Wisconsin winters. Had a spare radiator from a Volare.. cut off the trans cooler and mounted it ahead of the drivers seat rails. Didn't help as much as I thought it would, still had to use a blanket. :)

I don't see how it'd be usable. It wasn't bent in a uniform way, like it was meant to be. The trans tunnel was an inch away from being a complete circle. There was no bracing in the box at all, just like they put the floor pan, trans pan and firewall in a box on edge, and wrapped it in black...

R+L carriers. The way the plastic wrap was on it though makes me think it was already folded up when wrapped.

Main floor folded over, transition pan had a bent up corner. Firewall looked ok but I refused the whole order. Hope they get me replacements soon.

I didn't plan on getting a firewall for mine, from what I see it doesn't look too bad (compared to the rest, lol) but for $100 I snagged it. Been saving up for the pans for a while.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm a little less of a family guy these days, the kid moved out in September. Just the wife and I working from home and hunkering down, trying to keep avoiding the crud. I haven't done anything or bought anything for my car.. been a little leery of spending money on it...
