4 Headlights or 2 Headlights; opinions needed.

@413, you are only half right. The next words out of that person's mouth would be, "But it had a factory Hemi."

4 Headlights or 2 Headlights; opinions needed.

@Sir Ken, Would I do it to my car? No. I like the 2 headlight look on my 69 Barracuda. That being said, I rather like your idea. I think people should do what they want to do to their cars. If I saw it at a car show, I would be very interested to talk to you about it. How you did it, what parts...

    Painting engine in engine bay?

Join the club on trying to do things the easy way. It is a bit of work, but certainly easier than pulling the engine. @coloradohill, @413 and @jbc426 beat me to the gun in telling you the importance of getting the engine CLEAN. Now I am going to tell you how important it is to mask. Overspray...

    Getting fed up...

The government has been wanting to scrap all our cars for years now. If they can get them all not running due to no parts, they will win.

    Getting fed up...

I kind of feel guilty saying this, but I have had pretty good luck with my local O'Reilly's. The staff is pretty awesome, and the number of parts that have been defective have been pretty small. I do agree with @tom999w about Autozone. I had a REALLY bad experience with them about ten years ago...

    How Many 64 Barracudas

I would be shocked if more than 5% of all 64 Barracudas produced were still on the road today. Remember that the Ford Mustang also came out in 64. I am sure they sold 10 times more Mustangs than Barracudas that year. Plus the GTO came out in 1964. The first generation Barracuda did not enjoy...

    Anyone see this yet?

Absolutely. I would look through that catalog and dream. They would probably make the Barracuda and 71/72 Demon 4 door cars. They already did that with the Charger.

NOT MINE!!!! CL ad...1962 PLYMOUTH VALIANT - $1,000

Exactly. Nice, older 4 doors with a /6 always seem to draw a crowd. I like them! BTW, did you notice the seller has no Email.

Not to mention having to listen to, "My uncle had a 69 Barracuda just like this, but his had a Hemi."

    duster grille blackout

I have had excellent luck with (believe it or not) Krylon Satin Black. The Flat Black works also, but I like the Satin Black. I painted my car 10 years ago, and the Krylon still looks great. It is pretty easy to get the paint where you want it accurately. I have a good touch up gun, so I could...

    Barn Find!!!! Well not really......

Bone stock 318 2 barrel or bone stock 340. Make sure it has PS, PB and AC. Make it a great, comfortable car to drive.

Wow, Rick. For a minute, I seriously thought you had taken pictures of my car. There is a resemblance. BTW, all body and paint was by me.

    What appened to the "Nats"

I have been about 6 times. I always enjoyed it, but it was always hot. The last time I went, it was over 100 degrees with a ridiculous heat index. By 2:00, I was done and left. I could not stand the heat any longer. I was absolutely drenched with sweat. I was in my car with the AC on max for...

I think that is excellent. And calling him out for being a superior guy is a good thing to do.

    feedback

I helped a friend restore a 67 Mustang. When we were done, there were a lot of good parts left over. I joined a Classic Mustang forum just to sell those parts. They let me sell parts from day one. Lucky for them I was honest. I think it is important to let people know when a member goes above...

Factory old iron just can't compete ... ??

I would never put an LS in a MOPAR. That being said I agree with @Icetech in that I don't want that much horsepower in my Mopar. If I did, I'd build a 440 or a 426 Hemi.

How much would you pay for a product made in the US vs China

True. We used to have things repaired. Now we just throw them away.

    Intake Manifold Colour?

Good luck. I have not had much luck with the "We will scan it and put a good match in a can for you" deals. Plus, make absolutely sure they are selling you a spray paint for an engine!!! Would you paint your engine with Krylon or Rustoleum? No, you wouldn't. Krylon and Rustoleum are great for a...

How much would you pay for a product made in the US vs China

I like good Caramel Corn the best, followed by popcorn with real butter and a little more salt than some would prefer, then Cheese corn and then Kettle corn. I have a good Caramel Corn recipe.

How much would you pay for a product made in the US vs China

I would definitely pay more to keep jobs here in the USA. The reason it's all made in China is multi-fold (IMHO): 1. Years ago, corporate bean counters realized they could have the parts made in China for a LOT less, charge the same as before, and make more money. 2. More and more companies...

    F**K YOU TAIWANESE/CHINESE MADE JUNK

I hear you, dude. The problem is that if we say screw Chinese parts, that limits aftermarket parts greatly. A lot of them are pretty good quality. I had the same problem with a thermostat housing several years ago. I wound up buying a Billet Specialties, polished aluminum billet housing with an...

Best cam for the street both power & sound

I think I would agree with that. I have the XE 268 in my 340, and I LOVE it. It has a nice choppy idle, and plenty of power. It might be a bit much for the average 318, so the XE 262 would probably be a good choice.

    User Moparofficial not responding..

I really don't understand it when people jump the gun and complain about people publicly on this forum before they even have a chance to respond. A person could be in the hospital or on a fishing trip for a few days. And then to leave negative feedback?

How much would you pay for this 340?

IF the crank rotated, I would pay $500 MAX. And that would still be a gamble.

    The Verdit Is In!!!!!!!!

Well, Rick, if you can't find parts for it, we are all in trouble. Don't you have a rolodex with contacts? I personally like 4 doo cars. You don't see them as much. Make it purty. Rob, I said 'purty' just for you!

    Modern day Challenger

I happen to agree with you. In fact, I have stated it here before. Don't get me wrong, I bleed Mopar. I have had dozens of Mopars over the years. I have owned my 69 340 Barracuda for over 30 years. I DO like the new challengers, but I like the looks of the Mustang GT a little better, and I think...
