    Rallye Dash restoration recommendations

Dash Bezel Kit Rallye Gauge 67 Barracuda w/o AC & w/Glovebox Trim That's what I was talking about. A 67 rally dash has the round radio knobs, but should not not have any lettering around the fan switch. These guys are selling the 1971 dash minus the woodgrain as a 67, but that isn't correct. So...

    Rallye Dash restoration recommendations

One thing about the reproduction bezels is that they are not correct for every year. If you have a 1967 the repop will not be the same around the fan switch -- it will have lettering where the 67 was just blank. So that is one reason to have the original one restored -- the cost is roughly...

    Rallye Dash restoration recommendations

I had no idea anyone repopped the circuit boards. A little spendy, but I spent about 6 hours on mine reinforcing the pins with brass brads and resoldering them. So that's a good option. Thanks for posting it.

    Rallye Dash restoration recommendations

GCAR in Washington state will rechrome and repaint the bezel, and apply wood grain. Can polish lenses as an option. Prices are on the web page. Gauge rebuilding is another story, as mentioned. Usually, if they work, they work, so you don't necessarily have to go whole hog. A more likely issue is...

68 Fastback seat in a Notchback

Why would you want to do this? Even if it folds down, there is all that cross bracing blocking access to the trunk. But I don't think it would fit -- it's narrower, and the rigid back would be too thick. And how would you deal with the package shelf?

    Leather Steering Wheel Covers?

Wheelskins, I think that's the name, makes a quality product, but I don't know if they make one sized for our skinny rims. I wrapped my rim in foam before sewing on the cover, to get a thicker, slightly padded feel like a newer car, and that worked fine. But measure the diameter of the wheel and...

    CORRECT COLOR OF TRUNK MAT

AFAIK they were all gray plaid, EXCEPT for 67-69 Barracuda fastbacks (IDK about the early fish), which had a black mat with a heavy burlap-like texture. My explanation for that is they knew you could see the trunk mat when you had the divider board down, so they didn't want a different color &...

    Bench Seat Interchange

There is a lot of variation in the back seats. Obviously, convertibles are different from fastbacks which are very different from 2-door HTs and sedans, and can't be swapped. The front benches differ a lot in shape (hi-back, low-back, headrests, split, center arm rest) but they probably all fit...

How do you remove the interior quarter panel and trim on a 67 barracuda fastback without damage?

Once the panel is removed, you will see the screws for the trim piece (as seen in the photo).

    Bench seat location

A factory floor would have "dimples" where the holes would be drilled. I assume your floor doesn't? The bench rails run on those raised ramps -- the front bolt is an inch or two from the front of the ramp. Under the floor, there should be a C-channel reinforcement plate where the holes would be.

I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be dead straight. The square ends fit into the cams that operate the latch. But my FB is off the premises so I can't take pictures.

1967 Barracuda Interior Help - Paint and Carpet

I have a 67 Plymouth color and trim selector book in front of me, but it doesn't answer all your questions, because these colors were not customer options -- they were automatic depending on what the basic trim color was. My 67 is DD1 Light Blue Metallic with the H5B-H6B interior -- this is...

Anyone know how to swap radio push buttons?

OK, I thought they just pulled out, but when I tried one, it pulled out halfway (like you do when resetting stations), but it it didn't seem to want to come any further -- I thought I was using quite a bit of force. Well, the radio doesn't work -- I suppose I can pull until I break something 8P

Anyone know how to swap radio push buttons?

I have a dead 67 AM radio, and i was thinking of swapping in an AM/FM from a 70s A-body. But it has black plastic buttons, and I'd like to keep the chrome buttons. Can these be swapped? I'm not talking about the knobs, which can obviously be swapped.

Why only one speaker in the rear?.

X2 There never were rear speakers in a fastback. And most fastbacks didn't have the defroster option, so have no hole back there in the quarter at all.

    seat spacers

They were installed as needed by the dealers; i.e. if a buyer was short and complained the seat was too low, they would install the spacers. If not, no spacers. So use them or not to suit yourself.

    Rear seat questions

Hmm, that upholstery pattern is correct for a 67 Barracuda. but all three Barracudas had different rear seats -- fastback, convertible, notchback. I only have the first two -- your seat would have to be off a notchback, if it's off a Barracuda, I would think. I don't know why exactly it would be...

'Cuda Fold-Down Rear Seat in a '64 Dart GT?

Um, there is a metal bulkhead behind the seat back in your Dart. So you'd have to cut that away to be able to access the trunk space. Also, the Dart does not have any of the reinforced mounting points for the hinges and locking mechanism on the folding seat. Finally, the folding seat back...

    Fastback rear speaker boxes

I don't know if I have a picture of them, but for years I ran a pair of off-the-shelf Pioneers that were intended to be rear shelf mounted. They were 3 speakers in a long rectangular housing, somewhat wedge-shaped from front to back. The woofer was probably 5". Anyway, they fit perfectly in the...

    barracuda rear Seat

1967 and 1969 Barracuda coupe, obviously. But that may be it. The other candidates would be 67-76 Dart and Valiant hardtops. Darts are longer and have a different rear floor pan, so I wouldn't guarantee the rear seat is the same. A Valiant 2dr HT (Scamp) would be the most likely candidate, I...

67 barracuda formula s interior options

Chrysler didn't make any high back buckets in 1967 -- I really don't think they tooled up for a custom seat frame for a limited edition A-body. I think you are being snowed. Anyway, what do Jan & Dean have to do with Barracudas? I can't remember any factory "rock & roll" promotions from the 60s...

    67 cuda instrument cluster

Well, there are more screws than the ones you can see from the front. You need to look at the bottom and the back. The heater controls are a big chunk attached to the back, as well. The 1967 Plymouth service manual was released before the Barrracuda introduction, so they had to issue a separate...

    67 cuda instrument cluster

One common reason for the temp gauge not reading is the failure of the instrument voltage regulator. This is a solid state unit built into the fuel gauge (odd, but true). You can buy a unit to replace it, but it has to be soldered in. You can remove, or just tilt out the instrument cluster to...

    '69 Valiant 4-door w/bench seats - cramped at 5' 10"?

Oh, the bucket seat mounting points will not be drilled on your bench seat car. Also, the factory reinforced those points with a welded-on plate -- you can buy the plates from several sources (AMD makes them, I think). Just FYI, when I swapped from 40-year-old factory bucket seats to a brand new...
