Next time you think it's going to be hard to restart pull the air cleaner, and look down the carb pump the throttle a couple times If the accelerator pump shoots fuel it's not a fuel delivery issue. It might be how you are trying to start it. Are you pumping it 4 or 5 times then cranking...

You need a better machinist. And a car. And as Newbomb said opinions are just that does not make it right. And I use gasket on oil pump. In fact I use copper ones.

4” is fine for a 9k lift . Might want to epoxy the anchor bolts just to be safe . Is this newer concrete or old nasty stuff ? Ive seen floors that were pretty iffy .

Pretty easy . We could install one in a few hours . But we did many and knew where all the parts went . You will need a hammer drill and a bit . Probably 3/4”…. make sure you place it in a spot that allows for front and rear overhang , room for your tool box etc.

On a rope seal it’s not a bad thing.
