First thing I would do is make sure your fluid is fresh and at the proper level. Does it make the noise at idle? How about with the clutch pedal depressed? My guess is it might just be a bad clutch release bearing or front bearing.

Good to know. I wear gloves about 50% of the time when I use it, I think it's time I bump that up to 100%. I've seen it remove paint, so I always kinda knew it had some sort of nasties in it.

Finished the door and fender yesterday,and it was a scramble. My neighbor had to leave town for a work event, so I was rushing to get the door put together last minute. The paint turned out okay, a little bit of orange peel and a couple small runs. As mentioned, proper lighting would've helped...

Thanks guys. The instructions for the base said 3-4 coats, so I decided on 3 for the jambs and I'll probably do at least 4 for the exterior The clear said 2 coats, so that's what I did. Should I have been more hesitant to lay the clear down? It was actually surprisingly easy.

So far, so good. Shot the jambs with base and clear. The times between coats were much shorter than I was expecting, so the process moved quickly. I'll hang the door and fender on the car tomorrow and finish up.
