    Insulation blanket is paper backed, thick paper as well. Anyways its all behind inside walls and ceiling and there is vapor barrier covering it all.

    3.75 crank and a stock bore is 425cu in Edited to add; That actually puts you over the 372 limit. It’s 372.391. But hopefully triggers thoughts on different ways to get there.

    a 383 with one plug wire off is 335. Just saying. So you could theoretically build a 425 and go for both records. (425 with a wire pulled is 371.8). So you could stroke the 383 (easier to get parts) and get there another way.

    This will work well as long as you don't plan on painting in the garage. The vibrations from the compressor will knock dust and debris down from overhead.

    Interesting. We can talk more about this. The only reason for this thread was to get that same engine under 372ci to lower the record from 246 to 224.

    There are so many better quality cranks on the market today even if they cost more. I’ve heard to many eagles have snapped.

    I got these from Amazon and have had really good luck with them. Way cheaper than florescent and I only had 1/2 of one go bad in 5 years. I replaced 50 florescent fixtures which I tossed out cause no one wants them. Big improvement, brighter and cheaper than buying bulbs and ballasts.

    I’m really not an Eagle fan either but I ran 6.0’s with my Eagle 422 crank and rods. It will be going in a friends build soon. But I would take an Eagle CAST crank like he’s using even if you gave it to me and delivered it. I don’t like the 3/8 rod bolts he’s using either.
