    ive used a couple magnum 5.9s. An LA 360 car pan works. I used an LA timing set. I did use the magnum accessories to get the serp belt set up and higher amperage alternator.I used la headers on magnum heads and magnum headers on la heads. no leaks.

    150 HP LA 318 - vs - 230 HP Magnum 318

    91 5.2 is a Magnum and was rated 235 HP with the "large exit" Magnum manifolds. Rating went down to 230 with smaller outlet manifolds. 5.9 was rated 245 HP and was the same build as the first gen "crate" 360, rated at 300 gross HP.

    I had 340 manifolds on my on my mild magnum build, went with the cheap summit headers, and remflex gaskets thread locker on bolts. I’ll never go back to manifolds the amount of torque I gained and h.p was worth it!
