To volt up through the pan... that'll bring it down a little bit... Also I think the shift arm maybe customized and bent down a little...

Maybe a little home refresh...?.. I've took something like this and (while other work is being done..) pulled it apart and inspect everything.. New gaskets and seals, new timing chain, pull the heads apart and drop them off to be tanked and milled a bit... lap the valves and put new seals...

Electric valves we have talked about in the year's past... i think yr poo poo'ed all over it and I've been told by his followers not to question him... I thought it was a fun idea...

I slightly loosen the adjustment bolts and "very" gently bump it close, and make micro adjustments from there... At the point it's as good as you can get it, mark it for the next time you take it off and you won't have this problem... :thumbsup:

Ya.. it helps.. Please remember these cars back in those days did not have body gaps like BMW's of today....

Really @weedburner is the only one you absolutely need to listen to on this subject. As he's the one who masterminded the whole idea, built it, developed it, the whole nine yards.. And one nice helpful person.... As far as a body install, I did post a link there and it does have quite a few...
