If the last picture of the trans from the rear is how it sits now with the shim under the driver side engine mount, it needs more shim . Also that bracelet seems to be bent at the mount . Also the rubber idolaters seem to be under stress . Have been replaced ?

If I remember the Clutchflite is a 727 with a clutch instead of Torque converter . There is a link that keeps the pump running when the clutch is disengaged . You would use the clutch when starting out and stopping just like a manual trans . The valve body if stock would shift automatically...

Jim it looks marvelous ! One thing to add , get a mountain bike inner tube and slip it over those paint eating tailgate chains. Ya I know it didn’t leave the factory with chain covers BUT it also didn’t have a show quality paint job either .

A member here has made 4 bbl. Base plates for the \6 air cleaner , I bought one from him years ago. I’d have to search for it ,it should be in the sent package. I’ll go look for it now .

To answer your question that is a 1 barrel carb and manifold. Not much else there worth the price.

Well its been quite awhile since your last post , and yes I know you’ve been busy on that other non car project . As for torsion bars I used the Formula S from the Barracuda, they are just right for the Dart for a good ride and handling.

Yah I know, by now he probably fixed it . I found it interesting that nobody said anything about adjusting the brakes as the first place to start .

10 minutes of driving and the brakes are wonky… sounds like the shoes are dragging. When cold how much effort does it take to turn the wheel when it’s jacked off the ground? It should only have a slight drag when the shoes are adjusted properly and the drums are round .

In case the O.P. Hasn’t figured it out by now … The hood trim is ‘66 Dart only. The trim that curves down to the tail light fits’63 - ‘66 Darts only and there are left and right trim.
