went out in the car today, and the whining noise seems to of stopped altogether, it dosnt seem to do it in reverse niether now. would it be ok if i left it.

cheers, just got the whirling noise, when in reverse, did it all time, but only seems to do it in reverse now, i have now put the new flexp plate on

i ordered a new flex plate and i put it on the car, drove it about, but when it 1st started up there was a whirling noise all the time, but after i drove it about, whirling noise stopped but when i put it in reverse it still whirls, any ideas 940 box, 318ci motor, 1967 barracuda. cheers

EDIT : car is a 1967 Barracuda, 904 box, original had a 273ci, now has a 318ci motor in it, also i have noticed that when i put the 2nd flex plate on, i didnt notice any dowls, there was none there, does this mean anything

my flex plate cracked a couple of months ago, so i replaced it, and managed to find another flex plate near by, but it was used, but i still put it on, after around 100 miles it cracked again, but the 2nd hand flex plate i put on, wasnt 100% flat, it was slightly bent, and when i bolted it up...

going to be changing the oil filter on my 67 barracuda, rhd, but the steering box is in the way, any ideas how i could get the oil filter of, could i jack the engine up ?? if so how far could i jack it up before something snaps. any ideas would be great, its a 318 cheers

ive got a spare cd player in my garage, so im going to stick that in my barracuda, instead of disconecting the original radio, im going to wire the cd player up from scratch, my idea was to make a box to put in the boot and put 4 speakers in it, instead of cutting bits out in the car, so...
