Did you stomp the pedal with either of the bleeder screws open? I checked out your thread and am thinking I tried most of those things last year but could try it again this year.

No I didn't, I'm running with the light disconnected. Pisses me off to, I spent so much time restoring a bunch of wiring.

Thanks. I regret not knowing the carb was bad when made all my changes. It was a blessing though, now that it's a hot rod with the new carb my tranny's got a short life left lol. Winter's just around the corner, I'm Hoping she'll make it.

Long story short, got car last November, ran two tanks of fuel, tore all apart and made several changes. A couple of changes were: (Remanufactured) Holley 750 CFM vac sec as opposed to the Eddy 800 CFM it had. and, 3:23's. as opposed to the 3:91's. Got her all done and it's been a fun...

I've seen that clip before. The track is about an hour from me but I haven't seen him run. Pretty dang impressive I have to admit. I seen the Kilocycle run last year. If I recall they were in the 7 second range!

Once you get the pinion out you'll notice index markings which have #'s next to them. Your new gear's number of teeth will match one of these or fall within one of those ranges on the pinion. That index mark which matches your new speedo gear aligns to the mark on the tailshaft housing...

Can't say for sure. On my 68 the t/s flasher is on the pass. side of the ash tray and the emergency flasher is on the drivers side of the steering column bracing. You pretty much have to stand on your head to find them lol.

Just got back from a 1,000 mile trip with my 3:23 geared 68 Cuda with 28 inch tall tires. 70 to 75 MPH all the way betwen 2500 RPM and 2800 RPM. Loved them! It's nice to go with the flow of traffic and not feel like I'm killing the motor...

Please don't cut a hole in your floorboard. I changed my trans shift shaft seal with everything in place and my floor in tact. (68 Cuda 440) It does require the removal of the valve body and a couple of special tools. A search here and you can find out more info.
