I imagine you could bolt a bench seat from a Valiant or Dart into the car. The floorpan would be the same. Not sure if the holes for the seats would be in the same place or not. There's a second set of holes on the bucket seat brackets that let you mount the seat in a different position...

'65 Barracuda never had a bench seat. Bucket seats only. My mother had a '65 Barracuda, 225 /6, 3 on the tree, back in the mid 60's.

This is the one I was thinking of. The post talks about stripping paint but I seem to recall that it stripped off the plating too. The parts were down to bare plastic. The pictures are gone. Might have disappeared when the server had problems a while back. Maybe the OP can put them back up...

Quite a while back somebody posted a way to strip them that was really simple. I think it was just soaking them in some household cleaner or something like that. Maybe 409 or Simple Green? Don't remember for sure but a diligent search would probably turn it up.

I've never tried to do one but the good thing is they're fairly cheap. If you screw it up you're not out a terrible amount of money & you can try again. You'll surely do better the second time! I've read that it helps to have a bunch of clamps handy to help hold it in place while you position it.

In a situation like this I would check to be sure the gear adapter was indexed correctly. The gear adaptor has to be rotated to the correct position to engage the teeth of the driven gear properly with the drive gear. It depends on the number of teeth on the driven gear. The adapters are...

I bought seat upholstery & door panels from Legendary when they were having a 25% off sale. Haven't installed them yet but can't fault them for quality. Very nice stuff.
