    Parking lights/brake lights

That's a bummer, the cops can see you braking, whether you're coming or going. I've had that issue quite some time ago, I think all I did was to replace the switch at the brake pedal. There's a few member's on here that are great with these electrical issues, hopefully they will see this thread...

    Starting from scratch!

Still would like to hear from you fellows that are experienced/knowledgeable in automotive wiring for suggestions. Or those of you that have purchased harnesses manufactured aftermarket, good or bad. Like everyone here, I hate having to do things twice (unless for trial fitting...), or...

    Starting from scratch!

I'm basically looking at getting headlights with dimmer, break lights and turn signals, and wipers at this time (the creature comforts). The truck did not come with taillights or turn signals. The owners manual has the hand signals.

    Starting from scratch!

Much appreciated Scott, I might just take you up on that... But I simply don't know If I can make it work with the generator as opposed to an alternator, or does it matter...? I'm kinda hoping deep inside, the Redfish will chyme in and steer me in the right direction. I'm planning on keeping...

    Starting from scratch!

Hey all, although this is not for an A body... I find FABO to be the all around best place to get answers... I'm working on getting a '38 Dodge pickup resurrected, it now has a 12V generator and coil and ignition switch, that's it for wiring. And the starter is foot switch, not with ignition...

    Which starter?

That looks exactly like the one I was thinking about. How did you like it, reliable? That is smaller then the one in my Dakota, I think, might have to put them side by side. Thanks for the replies.

    Which starter?

I was just having that discussion in "chat", so likely the one out of my '03 Dakota would work. I just thought the aftermarket (or maybe MOPAR) mini high torque starters were smaller then that.

    Which starter?

I'm looking for suggestions/advice on which mini starter to get(manufacturer), and which supplier possibly. As I finally found time to drop my tranny and ready to install new clutch. What do you all use? thanks, Giles

    Brake Lights

Hey Mike! My initial thought was the flasher relay for your hazards, as all your other lights seemed good. Although that certainly has nothing to do with the dash cluster. Is it just the lights in the cluster that are not working, and/or gauges (idiot lights) ? I'm not much help...

    Where do these connectors go?

Yes the brown (tan) wire is on the same side (+) the (-) side is a blue wire. This is a factory electronic ignition car, so yes for the "condensor" also. All the best

    factory dash tach.

Electronic or points should not make any difference, as the tach is wired to the coil. Are you connecting the wires the same as your Autometer tach ? If so, I'm thinking the factory is fried or seized, does the needle move if you tap it?

    Where do these connectors go?

My condensor (if that's what it's called ?), I removed from the wiper motor mounting, as I found that wire short and mounted it right close to the coil, connected to the (+) side. Hope this helps.

    Where do these connectors go?

Pic #1 appears to be the condensor for your coil, it connects to the (+) on the coil. Pic #2 hope this helps, the red wire with the 90* elbow is your water temp sending unit, top front of intake. Pic #3 mine is unused also, it slides on the valve cover tab. Looks like the is a resistor...

    Removing Wiring Corrosion Help

LOL Eric, not exactly a fun topic. I'm thinking you are talking connectors only, and not circuit board. They are no fun, and I don't know of any easy way to clean them, aside from scrubbing. Although Baking Soda and vinegar does wonders on alot of things, I haven't tried it on this. Make...
