Is it worth replacing Kelsey Hayes 4 piston

For those of us in the "Rust Belt" SSBC are a good investment, as winter storing tends to rust the cast iron calipers and then seize. I'm looking for rebuild kits myself, but only the seals and clips. I will likely send the pistons out for plating, as I want to keep the Kelsey Hayes calipers...

How to get parking brake cables off rear axle??

I might even be less of a hassle to slide the axles out and leave the parking brake attached to the backing plate, and take the backing plates off. If you don't plan on re-using/rebuilding that rear. Another option?

How to get parking brake cables off rear axle??

Are the drums off? There's a "C" clip inside the drum, holding it on the backing plate. And yes, they are not hooked to the shoe, but a lever.

    brake reservoir

That's the way mine are DD, power brakes, not that it should be different routing for standard brakes, that I'm aware of. And I believe my lines are still factory original, aside from flex line to caliper.

Difference in drum brakes A-B Body

It doesn't matter what body style the drums came from. The backing plates are different from 1 3/4" to 2 1/2" drums, the bolt pattern you already know. The offset is built into the backing plate. There is also differences in drum diameters, 10"-11". My understanding ( I haven't tried...

    Pre-bent brake lines?

The difference in length will be from the proportioning block on the axle. Therefore order lines for a B body, frome the axles proportioning block to the cylinders.

Passenger side caliper not totally releasing

Lol, I just went through a similar scenario. this weekend. Mine were initially frozen open ( 4 piston Kelsey Hays ), I broke them lose and played with them 'till they were floating freely with the bleeder open. But the passenger side froze up on me on my way to a show (short drive), I had to...

    brake Light On ?

Maybe a stupid question here, but, are you sure you don't have a seized caliper or wheel cylinder. I've had this happen, no air was in the lines, blead them over and over to be 100% sure, the pedal feel was good also, but with the engine running, I could get that pedal to the floor. Might be a...

    Rear Brakes Missing Parts

Apparently, they are still available at NAPA and other parts stores. I remember reading a thread on here, and a part number was even supplied. I wouldn't be suprised if 'Ma Mopar still had them. Those were generic for years. Giles
