it isnt hard to find bikes that get 50 mpg , even with the bigger motors. i dont know which motor they chose to use but in that style chassis i would think 60-70 mpg would be no problem .. especially if being driven purposly for a mileage test, may be even higher

it is a good idea to run oil with the zinc content all the time in our flat tppet motors.... not just for break in

some body do the conversion from liters-kilometers to mpg ...from what i an seeing it isnt much better than a motorcycle with out the vapor system, (using the same honda motor ) but i am not sure of the conversion..so i may be way off

the stage three motors were 455 s , 68 to 70 or 71? .. mostly in the GS models, sister cars to the old GTO s and the chevelles. i have only known of one around here back when they were new and it was a 4 speed ,convertable car. pretty rare cars now.

this ol nailhead has a 430 -4bbl... they had 401s 4255s .430s and 455s ..depending on the year and model,,, i once worked with a crane operator that drove a factory ,dual quad rivvy 1963 or4 ? 401 cube i think... these are HUGE cars..i think it is as big or bigger than my old 62 chrysler...

to remove the old belt,,, work the rear sheaves in opposite directions, this will allow you to spread them at the same time ( i like to use a small piece of wood as a wedge ) then the belt will fall to the center of the sheaves, giving it room to slide off over the ( front ) clutch.. the new...

i use hagerty for my four cars...just a reminder ..you need to have a normal ins policy on your daily driver and the classics need to be in a locked storage of some kind. i find them very easy to deal with .

most unilug wheels fit the 41/2 and the 43/4 bolt patterns ..not the 4 "...if you have the big bolt pattern on your car they should fit ....small bolt pattern they will not fit
