man what a shame. there appears to be many parts that were salvageable from it why on the mirror? scoop looks good to me from what i can see of it..funny back then it was a write off. in todays market some would just put a new roof on it , fix the fenders and front clip and go....

i got the info from galens white books and the parts interchange book. i could also look it up elsewhere if needed...also sometimes they list the casting numbers instead of the part number.

never mind it didn't take as long as i thought it would to find. you would have had the standard black 3 spoke steering wheel for it. i can post a pic if needed.

that looks good. i was thinking typical silver. that is almost a charcoal to me.

looks good so far. color choice is a good one. silver can be very pretty on dusters. white stripe might not show up very well on a silver background though. i think black would look better especially if the interior is staying black as well.....

if you are still going to try to install the a/c from the 4 door to the 2 door you are still going to need to have a larger radiator to support the a/c. the fan and shroud will be a must also for proper cooling. the 2 door should support the larger radiator. is the 4 door a 26" raditor? if so...

that is a great score! there will be a wealth of parts there for you to use. all of the a/c stuff will interchange, but will be a big undertakeing. the a/c may require some help but again can be done. the larger radiator and fan is do to the a/c so that is a plus. even if you don't use the a/c...

don't forget to fill in the extra hole on the driverside. i too had to do the very same thing when i got rid of my part store mirrors someone had installed long ago as well.

love this thread but i gotta ask why did you decide to remove the wheel well mouldings? you could have buffed those things out and it would have looked great against the red(car) and new wheels....just my opinion
