    Which dual quad set up?

I ran a tunnel ram and 2 600's on my 68 and it for sure went thru the hood. I have heard of using 2" spacers between the K-frame and the body that will give more clearance.

    what oil pan

#699 or #187 for a stock size or Milodon 30930, Moroso 20760 for a deep pan, Charlies has nice racing pans. I'm using the Moroso on my 440. http://www.bigblockdart.com/techpages/tips.shtml

    Big Block Install?

Definitely the easiest way to do it. US Car Tool makes a K-frame dolly as well as a front end lifting tool. Its pricey but maybe you can get some ideas from looking at how theirs is put together. http://store.uscartool.com/uni-lift-unibody-front-end-lifting-tool.html...

    valvetrain just started making noise

My engine is a 440 with a Comp Cams hydraulic roller(XR286HR-10), their roller lifters, 440 Source heads, stock except for 10 degree locks, Crane 1.6 roller rockers and Smith pushrods, 10:1's. Last night I started the car and immediately could hear a difference in the valve train that I have...

    big block installed measurement needed

I've heard of the spacer trick to give more clearance under the hood. I have a 68 Dart, /6 to RB Schumacher conversion mounts and TTI's (440-2) with a 440. The headers are awful close to the steering box........I might just try the spacer to get my headers farther away from the box. My...

trans dipstick question with fender well headers

The Lokar model is what I used on my 68 440/727. Comes with a tube for filling the fluid. I used a factory dipstick in a 69 Dart with 340/727 and Hooker fender-wells years ago with no problem. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/lok-td-3727fm/overview/

225 to 440 engine swap question

I used the TTI headers and Shumacher /6 to RB mounts, looks just like the Mancini piece. You have to grind off some of the support perch for the oil filter clearance but the kit comes with instructions. The Shumacher headers are another option that may give you more room. Its a tight fit no...

water pump to rediator clearance with elec. fans

Mine was a tight squeeze with a 440, March conversion and a 4 core Champion 26"with the twin electric fan/shroud setup. Throttle cable

There is a little ball attached to the end of the cable that will fit in the slot of your pedal. You will need to disassemble the inside cable from the outer jacket to remove the silver buckle and expose the little ball. A small plastic tit secures it once in the slot on the pedal. I did have...

Stroker low deck swap has started!

X3, I dropped the car over my assembled 440/tranny/ 2" TTI headers/kframe/front wheels & tires. When you remove the kframe bolts and lift the front end, you should be able to wiggle out the torsion bars.

68 GTS Big Block Exhaust Manifolds

Heres what the 2" TTI for an RB look like. The only issue I had was either the #3 or #5 tube touching the steering box. I used a 1/4" thick shim on each motor mount and cleared the box. Its a tight fit with the #2 tube along the fender, maybe 1/2". Make sure you use a mini starter.
