What? That rotor isn't that bad, that's the new vented style!

    Chevy Guys

I agree with Divenut, as long as it's old iron, I like it for the most part. My driveway is a good example with a 71 C10 truck, 70 Duster, 92 Camaro, and has had a 70 Mustang and a 69 Chevelle in it at times. I've also had Volare's, Aspens, Cutlass's, Challengers and Ford trucks through the...

    Rear end swap

Then you'll need different shock mount plates and u-bolts since the 8 1/4 has bigger axle tubes on it. Just did this swap this summer on the son's Duster. Found some aftermarket plates and u-bolts but if you can find OEM ones it would be better. The shock mount plates and u-bolts from another 8...

guy yelled at for driving big gas hog truck (lol)

I admire the guys restraint. Anyone recognize where this occurred? Just a thought to try to publicize it and get her 15 minutes of fame focused where she lives so her friends and neighbors can see what an aggressive ugly sorry excuse for a human being she is.

The passing of our friend Bruce

Prayers and condolences to his family and friends. It sounds like he fought all he could, as long as he could. It was a year ago today that this other thread was started. May he rest in peace. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=120534

    72 pickup question

I'll see if I can measure in a couple of weeks when we head back to Nebraska for a visit, along with getting some pictures of the truck.

    72 pickup question

The son of my nephew just got a 72 Dodge 3/4 ton I think, it's a camper special Adventurer. Just curious what the lug pattern is on it. I think it's 8 lugs, but don't know the pattern and I'd like to pick up some different wheels for him, since it still has the original split rim wheels on it...

    Mopars @ Thunder Mountain!

I should be there, don't know if the kid and his Duster will be there, depends on where he's going to school at next year.

    Fender Tag

I thought the fender tag was normally via screws, but the vin should be via rivets. I'd look closely and compare the vin's stamped on components of the car with the vin plate. It could just be someone didn't have rivets to put it back on during the restoration. As for legality, I don't know...

anyone going to mopar at thunder mountain?

Guess we won't be there after all, have to be in Nebraska for a graduation that I forgot about. Any other big mopar events along the front range this summer?

anyone going to mopar at thunder mountain?

We're going to try to go, but won't be bringing the son's Duster down, need to sort out the front suspension before it's highway safe. Depends on how strung out I am from business travel that week.

    anyone in Denver?

I'm up in Longmont, about 25 miles north. I'd be happy to run at lunch sometime this week or after work and take some pictures and check out a car.

Unpainted Heads & Intake : Opinions

I normally do the block and heads in one color, and the valve cover, brackets, pulleys in another color and paint the intake silver or block color.

    Lets talk abt 1st cars!

My first car that I owned was a 47 Willys Sedan delivery that I paid $25 for to a farmer that had it in his field for 20 years. Drug it home and a friend and I spent the summer pulling the engine out, cleaning out all the animal nests and trying to get it running. Got a 283 and powerglide for my...

What Did You Learn To Drive In

Learned on an Oliver 55 tractor and then my grandpa's 78 Dodge pickup. When I didn't wreck those I graduated to the St. Regis for trips to town. Also drove the parents 81 Dodge van, as well as my 47 Willys and 76 Aspen.

How many members dont have a Mopar ?

Technically, I don't have a mopar, but the son's Duster is still at home needing work so I get my fix working on that with him. Also have a 92 Camaro to put together for the younger son, and once both of those are gone I'll have my old chevy truck, but eventually I'll have my own mopar to work...

    Daily driving an A-body

Just my 2 cents worth. I'm building my son's Duster to be a daily driver, and as any parent is, I'm worried about safety and reliability. Hence the disk brakes in the front, fresh motor, new gauges, new shoulder belts, new tires when the time comes. It will be primarily to and from college...

    A-holes at Autozone

Another comment on the franchise chain stores. I typically choose which one I'm going to use based on how friendly and personable the clerks are, not for their knowledge of what I'm working on, and typically not even the price. I look up part numbers on their website before I go, and go knowing...

    A-holes at Autozone

I used to go to Advanced Auto regularly, but had some staff changes so they don't know anything. Now go to O'Reilly's since the gals there let me look up my own stuff, plus their easy on the eyes and a lot of fun to give a hard time to. Actually, one of them drives and works on a 71 Nova, so...

    venting .. BEWARE!

Don't look in the trailer. For all you know, your looking at cars ignited the fever in your pops and he went and bought himself a car. As far as your sister, take it as a compliment that they have faith in your abilities to keep an old car running and drive it safely, whereas they probably...
