    transmission cooler

I too use an Autometer and it reads 160 to 180 without a trans cooler and that's with a dynamic 727 race trans using an aluminum deep sump pan. Granted the weather may be different here, not as cold in the winter, yet the summer months are hotter than hell.. Sometimes 110+ I've considered a...

Need 1962 Dodge Lancer Push Button Repair Help

I don't know if this helps but my 64 Signet uses a 64 push button setup for a 904 transmission when in reality, the transmission in the 64 is a 62 BB 727 transmission. I truly don't know why it works, but it does and has for over 25 years...

I am happy to hear you say that. Even though my Signet weighs in at around 2500 pounds, the cone I have in it has been through every small block engine Mopar has offered right up to two roller 340's I have had in it in the past 25 years... Where did we go wrong?

    Poll-which rear end?

To me this is yesterday's poll because everyone would be using a 904 or 727 transmission ( Non overdrive ) with it's first gear ratio of 2:45 and would need 3:55 just for the street and highway / or 3:91 for street and race with bigger tires... In today's world with those driving street and...

    5 speed swap

Nice video yet, I have one question. Wouldn't you think that power shifting is somewhat different than the shifting in that video where letting you foot off the accelerator has less strain on that transmission??

    5 speed swap

Why would you go from a 4 speed with 3:55 gears to a 5 speed and 3:93 gears. Do you know what the gear ratios on the 5 speed of your choice is going to be and do you know what the gear ratios on your 4 speed are?

Is it possible Not to use the push button

The push button on my Signet is a great conversation piece. It's also hooked up to a 62 BB Dynamic 727 race trans and convertor, which shifts like you're shifting with a sludge hammer.. If I ever change it, I'll change the trans as well and it's only too bad I couldn't use this on a different...
