I run a 1962 727 pushbutton trans in my 64 Signet. I simply built a simple trans mount and put the shifter between the seats in a box. Been in my car for almost 30 years

they would be 2:76 gears most likely. The whole set-up is a good start never the lass, but make sure you get the spring and shock absorber perches as well with the U bolts, otherwise you'll be spending an extra 100. or so hunting them down...

I don't know if this helps but my 64 Signet uses a 64 push button setup for a 904 transmission when in reality, the transmission in the 64 is a 62 BB 727 transmission. I truly don't know why it works, but it does and has for over 25 years...

I am happy to hear you say that. Even though my Signet weighs in at around 2500 pounds, the cone I have in it has been through every small block engine Mopar has offered right up to two roller 340's I have had in it in the past 25 years... Where did we go wrong?

Nice video yet, I have one question. Wouldn't you think that power shifting is somewhat different than the shifting in that video where letting you foot off the accelerator has less strain on that transmission??

Why would you go from a 4 speed with 3:55 gears to a 5 speed and 3:93 gears. Do you know what the gear ratios on the 5 speed of your choice is going to be and do you know what the gear ratios on your 4 speed are?

The push button on my Signet is a great conversation piece. It's also hooked up to a 62 BB Dynamic 727 race trans and convertor, which shifts like you're shifting with a sludge hammer.. If I ever change it, I'll change the trans as well and it's only too bad I couldn't use this on a different...

Do you have any idea what the 1st. gear ratio is on the NV3500 transmission is and what rear gears you must use? 1st gear in a NV3500 from a Dodge Dakota is a 4:01 Do you realize what height tire you will need in order to make this work?
