Thanks guys. Turns out the motor is full of dirt and it spun the rear main bearing.

Well I wasn't sure where to post this but I have a 1946 Willys cj2a and the motor locked up the other day when I was heading to a car show. I'm not sure where to start on disassembly. Pull the head first or the pan? Thanks guys.

I drive a 96 jeep with the 318. Their are many of these in junkyards so finding a harness wouldn't be hard. They make one hell of a stroker motor.

I just put a belt on mine. I have a 1 grove crank pulley and water pump, my alternator is a 2 grove. Not sure of the part number but its a 47" belt.

I was wondering if a bell housing from a LA would fit an 318 A poly?

Would a regrind change the lift? The stock lift is pretty low.

Hey all, I have a 96 jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.2 Magnum. Saturday it stalled on me twice at a red light and tonight it would not idle at all after I drove back from class. The Jeep has 197k miles on it and Ive never had a problem with it before. Im thinking what something is getting wet...

Hey all, I just got the new issue of Car Craft and there is an article in there about building a 620 horse small block based off of a 360. Nothing looks too special just a .060" over bore and a 4" crank, making the 414 cube monster. It could be taken to 440 with the 4.25" crank. Id post a link...

Tell him to rebuild the 4 cylinder. I have a 1944 Willys Mb that I just did an engine rebuild. Here is some pics. Its in now but I dont have any pictures. I think its making 70-80 hp and I get about 20 mpg.

Ok thanks dartman. I knew that it had to be one of the older hemi heads. Maybe Ill just stroke it or leave as is. It runs, I dont see much sense rebuilding it now.

I have heard that this is possible, is it? I have 318 poly just taking up space in my driveway. Soon I hope to get a model a truck! My plan is to stroke the poly and put hemi heads on it if possible, it would be sick with the push button 727, Im thinkin rat rod!=P~

I have a stock 318, I have an eddy performer intake. A buddy of mine has an eddy 1406 600cfm card and he wants to sell it, it that too much carb for that motor. Thanks evan

Tried that, moved the driver to in front of the ears to try to help line it up. My tranny is not being held up, could that be my problem? It appears that the pass side is not far enough back, when i push the motor back to line up the mount with the hole the motor is not straight.

I have been trying to get my motor in the car for some time. Its in but not straight, I had the wrong brackets on it for a while. Now I bought brackets from MoparGod and still the same thing. Here some pics

About how much will an edelbrock torker with a 600 cfm carb add in horsepower and torque.

Are all the brackets the same, the ones that came on this motor are from a 68 B body. I tried to swap sides and it wont work. I think I need brackets!

I think The mounts are on wrong. I tried to drop in the engine and when the mount bolts are in the holes the engine isnt strait. Sorry about the quality, it was getting dark:angry7:
