    After dumping all of that gas you should change your oil before you start it up again. Your oil has probably been diluted by all of that extra gas. VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!

    Holley came out with those about 20 years ago. They made them for only 4-5 years and then they disco'd them. Summit must have bought the tools to make them.

    If your spark plug gap is too wide for your ignition it'll do the same thing.

    Leaking gas tank

    If you find where its seeping out, a good temporaty fix is to get a bar of Fels Naptha soap and rub it into the spot. I've had it seal a leak for over a year and a half before it needed another application. easy and cheap.

    they'll fit a holley, thermoquad or AVS carb. Some AFB's hae a smaller opening.

    If you coulld find a manifold for standard 340 heads, it could be modified rather easily for the W-2's. A little welding and grinding.

    aftermarket guages are 0-240 ohms. chrysler's are 70-10 ohms.

    650 Holley bogs out

    black smoke signals a too rich mixture. Maybe you have too big of a pump shot. Maybe go down on the size of the accelerator shooter. If it was the power valve, wouldn't it have a rotten idle quality? When you say new, do you mean out of the Holley box new? Or rebuilt, or just new to your car?

    Either the secondaries are openint too early, or you need more accelerator pump shot. Disconnect the linkage for the secondaries and see if it still does it.

    Benefit of 3/8" line TBD

    When the weather turns cold like that you will want to go up at least 1-2 jet sizes due to the colder weather being more dense.

    As long as the gas isn't really old, just put a few gallons of premium in there and you're good to go.

    Tuning AVS AFB carter carbs

    Keep your eyes open for an olc Carter Stirip Kit. Has a bunch of different sizes of jets and metering rods. Hard to fine but not impossible. You might check if jets and metering rods from the edelbrock thunder series will work, its essentially an AVS carb.

    are you sure its leaded? A lot of avgas is unleaded or low lead.

    Fuel line question ..

    I vented the cap on my duster. took it apart and drilled two small (3/16) holes in the brass part. then added a way for it to vent through the handle on the outside of the cap. No pressure build up problems for me. I'm not autocrossing the car, so I haven't had any seepage problems either.

    you would have thought that they would have made an air cleaner that sealed to those holes in the hood, but they did not.

    Vented gas tank

    wait till it does it again. take off the gas cap. Do you hear air rushing in? You can vent a tank through the cap. I did it on my 72. A couple of strategically drilled holes is all it takes.

    Vented fuel cap

    i made my own. A couple of stragetically placed 3/16" holes and voila, a vented cap. I don't think I'd do it if I was autocrossing or something, but for straight line cars, I'm ok with it.

    either your secondary spring is not strong enough, or you need to put a bigger squirter in the accelerator pump circuit.

    You could use the sender as is by just using a normal worm clamp on the hose coming out of the sender/pickup.
