don't have a pic, but my black duster has red 340 stripes on the sides but in back I didn't like the look of the factory stripe, so I just put the 340 Duster decal back there.

The original finish on the cap was pretty poor, hence the need for paint. Even if it was NOS, I don't think I'd like that either. Gonna leave it on for a few weeks or so at least and see if it grows on me.

I put a flip top gas cap on my duster. I painted it with gloss black epoxy paint. Now that I got it on, I'm not sure if I like it that much. Previously I had a factory chromed cap on it. Lets hear it.

whatever you use, go with the red stripes. A friend in high school bought a new 73 roadrunner in Petty blue and red stripes. Looked fantastic. Very different. I just put red stripes on my black duster. Really like them.

My cap had the 3 hole pattern, as did my fuel inlet pipe. They're just 180 degrees off. I'm gonna have to drill 3 new holes in the gas cap base to turn it around.

The holes that came in mine mounted it backwards from yours. guess I'm going to have to redrill the mounting holes in the cap. I thought it wasn't right.

I bought an adaptor to mount a 69 cuda flip top gas cap on my duster from another member here. Finally got around to putting it on. Which way is it supposed to open. Mine would only go on opening from the front. That seems backwards to me. Anybody care to offer up a pic of a factory...

I'd just get some 1" wide aluminum and bend them how you need them. Shouldn't be that hard. Just have to remember not to push the car with the bumpers again.

the cheap ones only use flux wire which doesn't leave as nice of a weld as one with gas. Important for outer body metal.

If your paint isn't faded, take the paint code to an automotive paint dealer. They'll mix some and put it in spray cans. Not exactly cheap, I remember having to buy a quart, which gave me 3 or 4 big spray cans. I repainted an engine compartment. Paint matched beautifully, though.

Generally no because there's a lot of places you can't get at after the panel is put on.

Another problen with lacquer is when you use multiple coats it is much more likely to chip when hit.

I have a pin on AAR hood. The pin on is a pain at times, but makes things really easy when wrenching, though.

There's probably 1 set of dies in the world for each part, so no matter how its labeled, they all probably come from the same place.

My grille was NOS when it went on the car. the center section is black. I've seen cars with argent colored centers too, some might have come that way too. I don't have any better pictures than my avatar, they got lost switching computers.

I was really bummed to see the NOS one on my duster when I bought it.

Not sure, but try phoenix graphics. there was a guy on ebay who used to put any size engine on his stripes. Haven't seen him on there for a while, though. I have a 383 in my duster, but I put a 340 on mine. Its an original 340 car and the price was right.

the only ones that use rivets are those with fiberglass hoods.

put the jack under the trans and take the weight off of it. REmove the 4 crossmember bolts and the two holding the mount to the trans. then drop the whole crossmember. Really easy to do.

I'm thinkin that since the rust goes up in to the radius and corner its gonna be a VERY difficult piece to make. Better cutting a piece off of a donor car and welding it in.
