How to replace Duster door glass

I did this two years ago and I recall having the same problem. The screw has to be backed out of the plastic fitting which is probably stripped. You need to find away to secure the fitting so it doesn't spin so you can turn the screw out. Then you just pull the fitting though the hole in the...

    70-71 Duster Grill

I believe they are the same also because I know you can interchange a 71-72 Sharktooth with the 70 grille. That's a great price if you don't have to pay shipping to get it.

    engine paint..'69 340

I thnk it depends in what color spark plug wires you plan on using. Red on orange is no good. Blue on blue is boring unless it's turquoise, then you have coordination. Yellow looks OK on red but so-so on either blue :D

Plast Aid...the grill builder $$$$ saver

I'd also recommend that if you are rebuilding tabs, use fiberglass tape for reinforcement.

Plast Aid...the grill builder $$$$ saver

I also used this product to rebuild a busted up Shark Tooth Grille. The blue bar can be heated up in hot water, making it pliable, so you can mold it into shapes to create tabs and other missing parts from. It's very easy to pour the solution into tight spots for reinforcement. Dries very...

    Painting a Shark tooth grille

I thought about this method and probably in retrospect, it would have been the better way to do it. But I was concerned about the black showing through when I start getting those inevitable paint chips.

    Painting a Shark tooth grille

I've read of other members that haven done this a LOT faster, but my hands and my eyes don't work anything like they used to. This took me three full days just to tape. Between fixing the cracks, reconstructing tabs, sanding, taping and painting, this grille is a big time eater. At least I...

    fish oil rust prevention

This is interesting because there is a long standing rumor that WD-40 contains fish oil. Anyway, I wouldn't spray fish oil on anything but a Cuda.

    Can anyone identify this lock?

Hey Demonracer - I think you hit it on the head. For some reason, I thought the nut designs were older since the clip design on the 70 doesn't loosen up. I'll see what Dreno comes up with. Thanks guys.

    Can anyone identify this lock?

A previous owner modified my Duster to fit an over-size trunk lock. Unfortunately, the rear housing is broken so I need to replace it. Does anyone know how to identify it? I searched for the numbers stamped on it with no luck. Rather than with a spring clip, it secures with a large bolt to...

    Trunck lock

I confirmed that it is the correct lock. The door locks are also the same size. I'll measure the exiting hole to see of the 73 lock might work.

    Trunck lock

Thanks guys - since it such a small area I'll probably go with a sheet metal solution. Ross - what was the make and P/N of the electric lock you purchased? I like that idea as well.
