not a exhaust leak, I checked, and it is defiantly a collapsed lifter type tick, but like I said momentary, like it lost and collapsed than back to normal, kind of weird. and if exhaust leak would by all the time, this came and went... I also have the fancy dead soft aluminum header gaskets...

1973 new 318 la with #302 castings, mp oil pump, fel pro sever duty head gaskets... here is the issue.... added remote oil filter adaptor and dual oil filter and cooler set up. went to prelube the engine for the 1st time, all new everything....... didn't have oil pressure on the top end...

i have the cheep parts store replacement 2 core with hd cooling and is already starting to corrode from sitting, while engine overhaul. looking to upgrade to aluminum unit? had a champion for an old bronco once, looked nice did ok was a 3-row... now I have been looking into engineered cooling...

adding a 340 90 degree adaptor to my small block, the large center bolt came with a cork seal/washer and a small thin fiber washer, as well has the large gasket to the block, in any ones opinion , which seals/works better for sealing control the fiber or the cork? don't want dripping oil on my...
